We cannot recommend Annamae highly enough! We will cherish the photos she gave us forever! We, as well as all of our family and friends, have been blown away by the photos that s...
he took for us.
From the moment that we first spoke over the phone, she was kind, easy to talk to, and enthusiastic. When we were searching for a photographer, we wanted to find someone who could bring a unique artistic vision but also hit on all the wedding photo essentials. Annamae brought exactly that. Our vision for our wedding was one that was vibrant and colorful. Her style brought that to life perfectly in the photos. As expected, her photos made the colors from our wedding pop—unlike other photographers we looked into that had more washed out and overly brightened images. If you plan to have a colorful wedding, you will find no better photographer than Annamae.
For our engagement photoshoot, Anname brought a fun energy that put us at ease. We had our photoshoot at the top of Mt. Tam. We were dealing with cold, high winds, and camera shyness, but you wouldn’t be able to tell from the photos. She was simultaneously focused and calm and shot photos with incredible efficiency. You could tell that she’s a real veteran, as she had a plan for everything, and could switch between ideas quickly when something wasn’t quite working for us. We also really appreciated that Annamae worked hard to find a time that would work for us, moving things around her schedule so that we could have the photoshoot sooner.
On the wedding day, Annamae was everywhere all at once and again put everyone at ease and brought an excitement that made it easy to take photos. She was also super organized, making sure that we hit on all the kinds of photos that we wanted. Like when we took photos with family and friends, in the many many different arrangements, she was able to gather people and take photos quickly enough such that we could have what felt like dozens of different arrangements of relatives and friends. A universal sentiment that we heard after the wedding from family was that Annamae really knew what she was doing and was so kind. She’s just such a personable photographer, and she helped tie everything together with our vendors, collaborating with our DJ and videographer to capture some incredible moments.
We have only the highest praise. She’s the photographer for you if you want photos that are colorful, unique, and comprehensive, and an extremely calm and competent photographer who genuinely loves her work and who leads with a smile, making it easier for everyone to smile and enjoy the special day.
I unfortunately would not recommend Anna Mae. I am really disappointed with our photos; I can hardly find even four I like enough to hang in our house. When Anna Mae was so difficu...
lt to get ahold of and communicate with, my intuition went off that maybe we should find another photographer and I wish we had.
There is no photo of our first kiss that we can use - she didn't get close enough to focus us in the frame, so our guests and officiant are irremovable from that one. The venue was a gorgeous cathedral of nature, yet we have all these photos in front of a gray concrete wall. There isn't a single usable photo from from dinner of my husband and I.
Anna Mae said that this was because we ran out of time and natural light. Yet, I sent her a proposed timeline very early in the process and specifically asked for her opinion on whether it was enough time (since she's done this hundreds of times); she said it should be plenty because she's "fast with families."
Fortunately, we hired a tremendous videographer who we paid extra to find stills from their footage, and so we could capture at least some of the important moments that were missed by Anna Mae.
To her credit, Anna Mae was sorry that we were so disappointed and did offer to do another shoot at our venue to make up for it, but we didn't see the point. Those moments all dressed up with our families are gone; there's no replacing them.
We can't say enough about Anna Mae! She conducted our engagement photoshoot and captured several of our favorite couple photos, which is particularly impressive given we typically ...
cannot stand having our pictures taken.
She made us feel super comfortable, had a fantastic eye for location and shot selection, and is a genuinely friendly character who we recommend for any occasion.

rld of photography, and her exceptional talent, attention to detail, and unwavering dedication truly made our engagement shoot even more special.
From the very beginning, it was clear that Annamae had a unique ability to connect with us as a couple. She took the time to understand our preferences and what we wanted to capture on our big day. Her genuine interest in making us feel comfortable and relaxed in front of the camera was evident from the very start.
What truly sets Annamae apart is her incredible eye for detail and her flexibility. On the day of our shoot, she showed her dedication to her craft by adapting to the changing lighting conditions. When the golden hour light started to shine even more brilliantly at a different location, Annamae was quick to pivot the shoot to make the most of that magical moment. This level of adaptability and commitment to capturing the perfect shot is a testament to her professionalism and artistic vision.
Annamae's work is nothing short of magical. Her photographs are a reflection of her deep passion for photography and her unique ability to tell a story through images. The warmth and distinctiveness in her photos are unparalleled. Every picture is a work of art, with a natural and timeless quality that is truly captivating.
But what truly touched our hearts is Annamae's ability to capture the love and connection between us. Her photos are not just snapshots; they are genuine, heartfelt moments frozen in time. The emotion and love that radiate from her photographs are nothing short of breathtaking. She has a remarkable talent for highlighting the most intimate and beautiful moments between two people in love.
Annamae is not just a photographer; she is a gifted artist who knows how to make your love story come to life in her photos. We couldn't be happier with the way our engagement photos turned out. Annamae's work exceeded our expectations in every way, and we are forever grateful for her dedication, creativity, and kindness.
If you are looking for a photographer who will go above and beyond to capture the essence of your special day, Annamae is the one. She's not just a photographer; she's a storyteller, a memory-maker, and a true artist. We wholeheartedly recommend Annamae to anyone in search of a photographer who can transform moments into timeless treasures.

t of the camera usually). BUT, Annamae to the rescue and more. We are in love with how it turned out and friends/family can't stop raving. It was the perfect "vibe" we were going for and we'll treasure them for years to come. Can't recommend Annamae enough!

ally comfortable and at ease when being photographed may not be your thing. She did a beautiful job of getting all the tiny details of our wedding and shots that portrayed the look and feel of the entire weekend. She knows the light, the timing and the spaces to really give such an epic look and feel to your photos. I'm so grateful that we have these pics for a lifetime and I highly recommend working with her!

Her sense of taste and aesthetic were amazing, I hate "tacky" or over posed wedding photos, and her editing and lighting and shots were all so amazingly natural and elegant..

s exactly what she delivered! We were blown away by our wedding photo album. Annamae did an incredible job capturing the love, warmth, character, and beauty of the day. Additionally, Annamae took the time to really get to know us, which made it comfortable and easy to be in front of her camera. Truly, we are just so happy with our photos and look at them all the time to relive the day.

ndor beautifully. We love how the photos feel comfortable and not overly staged. She also did an incredible job of organizing people for family photos at the ceremony. We had a larger reception the next day in SF, and she captured the disco dance floor with a creative and fun approach. It was great to see her work seamlessly between an intimate ceremony and a big party the next day. Thanks again Annamae, we'll treasure these photos forever!

d photographer with an impeccable eye and an amazing artistic flair. Yes, I'm biased, but these photos far exceed any other wedding photos I've seen. If you want unique, beautifully captured memories, hire Annamae.

my wedding was a top priority and I’m reminded every time I look at our photos of how she was one of the best decisions we made during our entire wedding planning. I am not comfortable in front of the camera but Annamae put me and my husband at ease and knew exactly what to say and do so we were able to be ourselves. We are so happy and impressed with the way she captured all of the day’s emotions so vividly, our friends and family during the ceremony, the laughs between my partner and I, everyone on the dance floor, and every little detail of the day. She is pure magic, talent and gold. It’s easy to see how much love, time and hard work she puts into her work and we are so grateful!

h lighting, etc. She magically seemed to be everywhere at the wedding - capturing all those special moments from all angles - and we were particularly impressed with her vision. She knew when to grab us to capture those moments of particularly good lighting or bring us to a spot with a beautiful backdrop. She was also super personable, fun, and flexible - allowing us to add on some extra time at the end of the day so she could capture some of the dancing at the reception. We saw a few sneak peeks of photos the day-of and were blown away. We can't wait to see the whole album!!!
Annamae is a joy to work with! She is professional, kind, fun, and creative. We hired Annamae to take photos for our wedding day, and she absolutely exceeded our expectations. She ...
made everyone at our wedding feel comfortable, which allowed her to get those special moments completely uninhibited. The photos themselves are absolutely stunning, and exactly what we were hoping for (and more). I cannot recommend Annamae enough for your photography needs.
Annamae is nothing short of an incredible human and photographer. Her artful eye, overall aesthetic, and way of organically capturing moments is everything.

ement shoot and had an absolute blast - she got SO many incredible shots and made us feel comfortable the entire time (which can be tough when you’re not used to being photographed). She then shot our wedding and captured the mood, energy, and spirit of the day so perfectly. She worked with tricky indoor lighting and rain and the photos still turned out incredible. We then did a third “back in the dress” shoot to make up for the outdoor shots we didn’t get due to the rain on our wedding day and WOW are we glad we did. The photos are stunning and we had a blast - jamming to music and watching Annamae work her photographic magic.
Annamae goes above and beyond the “traditional” wedding photos and poses and uses composition, lighting, and incredible editing to make her photos works of art. My husband and I are overly critical of how we look in photos and how we edit photos ourselves and we were so happy with how all of her photos turned out. We’re THRILLED we found Annamae - her fun, laid back energy paired with her extraordinary talent cannot be beat! We’ll be swooning over all our photos for years and years to come.
The best hire I ever made! AnnaMae is a true artist - she captured our wine country wedding so perfectly. Honestly, I can’t believe it’s taken me this long to leave her a review. S...

vibey energy all around + pure talent!! We fully trusted her vision and she captured so many beautiful moments of our friends, family, venue, & us. The wedding day goes by in a flash and we truly appreciated her taking photos of the smallest to biggest details that went unnoticed during the day. Honestly, the day would not have been the same without Annamae by our side. We can't wait to collaborate again. <3

ring the emotion in the moments without being overly posed. She is super relaxed, down to earth and an overall fun person to be around, so taking photos with her never made us feel nervous or awkward – she made it fun! you it took our breath away, I am not joking. Her photojournalistic style captured my fiance and I perfectly! I've had so many people compliment how genuine our engagement photos look, and I could not be happier. I'm also usually very self-critical when looking at photos of myself, but Annamae has an incredible talent for capturing all the right angles. Her artistic style and talent speaks for itself. I cannot wait for her to shoot our wedding!

are sooooo many great options to choose from. She made us look like models despite my wife and me not being photogenic. Annamae is personable, professional, and very cool (per numerous members of our wedding party and guests). Don't hesitate to hire her for your wedding or special occasion!

we’ve had the pleasure working with. We were initially quite disheartened because we had to cancel our original wedding in Hawaii due to covid but Annemae made us excited for our california wedding and took the most gorgeous pictures. Photography was one of the highest priorities for our wedding and we will treasure the amazing pictures she took of us forever. Not only is she great at photo construction (including unique ideas for poses, use of the terrain, attention to detail), coloring, and lighting (which is not easy to do in the harsh lighting of Big Sur), but she also did a great job of making our wedding party feel at ease despite the pandemic. Our wedding party consisted of multiple frequent blinkers and awkward folks yet she magically did not capture any photo shyness on camera. She was reasonably priced for the area compared many of the photographers we contacted and was extremely prompt and professional with her contract and delivery. She gave us BEAUTIFUL sneak peek pictures within the week of our wedding, and our whole album for download both in color and black and white within 3-4 months, as promised. She was also extremely covid conscious, wearing a mask and adhering to social distancing, making our whole wedding party feel safe. If you are looking for a talented bay area photographer who will turn your photos into a dream-like adventure at an extremely fair price, look no further! Annamae is one of the best you can find! Check out her instagram to see for yourself!

in that same way. With both an engagement and wedding shoot as part of our package, we knew we would have two different opportunities at great photos. We wanted something more urban and city for the engagement sitting because the wedding would be in a beautiful outdoor setting. We settled on Treasure Island which has amazing views but can be a little rough around the edges. Annamae is fantastic. Even though she had never been there, she made it an absolute success! The images were stunning, and we couldn’t believe how beautifully she captured the moments between us. Needless to say, we were extremely excited to have her with us on the wedding day. Her presence was calming as she moved with us through the day. She is so careful to capture just the right moment, expression or vignette. Looking at her beautiful images bring back all the joy and love from that day.

fessional relationship, but a close friendship. She is a ninja on the floor. She knows exactly how to handle different personalities while shooting, how to pose the unruly child / dog, and best of all, how to do all of this with grace. She's exactly the personality you want as your photographer on your big day. Plus, HAVE YOU SEEN HER PHOTOS? On top of logistics, her work is so unique and artistic and makes me weep every time. Hire her. You will never regret it.

We thoroughly enjoyed the creation process with Annamae and really appreciate how she thoughtfully and beautifully documented our journey and love. The photos are romantic, elegant, magical, and beautiful. We look forward to working with her again in the future!

g photographer, Annamae’s work stood out in all the best ways. She captured the candid moments in such a way that you didn’t just see the couple’s love shining through, you FELT it. We booked her pretty quickly and hands down, one of the best decisions we made for our day.
Thennn COVID happened. And the wildfires. Our 200 person wedding turned into an elopement and despite venue/date changes, Annamae was so kind and accommodating through it all. When our day came, her positive energy was magnetic. My husband & I felt totally comfortable and mannnn, it showed - the pictures are so so magical ! Thanks Annamae <3

d. We hired Annamae for our elopement shoot and destination wedding. She was terrific and made us feel comfortable the entire time! It felt more like having a friend taking our photos than a professional photographer until we got the pictures back, that is! Holy sh*t they are out of this world! They belong in a magazine for real. We are now obsessed with the quality, her ability to capture each moment, and her unique way of framing each shot! She went above and beyond and documented our week-long Mexican adventure with style and grace. We love her. Hire her now; she's worth way more than she charges!

which Annamae did such a wonderful job of capturing. There was so much laughter. She managed to be everywhere at once during the ceremony and allowed us relive moments that we weren't there for. Annamae is also the consummate professional and had an incredibly warm, go-with-the-flow presence that made me feel calmer as a stressed-out bride -- we realized 10 mins before our ceremony that my husband had left his vows at home, and without missing a beat, Annamae got us pen and paper in the nick of time for him to rewrite his vows (crouching in the dirt), which is now one of our favorite memories from the wedding. I would recommend her absolutely for her talent, passion, and professionalism.

special day. I really appreciate how on our wedding day she came prepared with our detailed schedule and the limited list of must have photos we had discussed with her previously. She was great at keeping us on schedule without making us feel rushed and also great at working with family members that had strong opinions on the photos being taken. Once the day gets started things go by in a rush so we love the collection of memories we have thanks to Annamae. We felt a little awkward about taking photos of ourselves and she made us feel comfortable and at ease with her great communication skills. She is great at being everywhere without being noticed and captured some really lovely natural moments on the wedding day.

red on that hope above and beyond! She was one of the first vendors we booked, and I am so glad we did. We are so overwhelmed by how beautiful our wedding photos turned out, she did an absolutely incredible job of capturing the day! She was professional and energetic and helped us move through the big moments of the day, but still made sure were relaxed while shooting, reminding us to breathe and cherish the moment. And it paid off, because our photos turned out better than I could have hoped for! We will cherish these photos forever. I highly recommend booking with Annamae!

saw her work that a) her vision was exactly what we had in mind for our wedding photos, and b) she would be nabbed by some other lucky couple if we didn't get to her first!
Annamae shot our rehearsal dinner and our wedding day, and she was friendly, professional and so creative the entire time. (Not easy when you're taking photos for 10+ hours!) My husband and I especially appreciated how she pushed us to try different kinds of shots and poses — not only did she get us out of our comfort zones, but she made us feel really comfortable in front of the camera at the same time.
Would 11/10 recommend that you work with Annamae. She is a true gem.

k with! From the moment we met her, she made us feel comfortable in front of the camera. Days leading up to our wedding we realized we were going to be faced with rain, and during that stressful time Annamae reached out and said we were going to create magic and that is exactly what she did!
She is hands down one of the best decisions we made for our wedding.
We recently received our wedding photos back and are absolutely in love with them! She captured our day so perfectly and it is exhilarating to be able to relive the most memorable day of our lives through her photos. You will be so pleased with Annamae's work...she is truly amazing!!

nt day as also a day for pictures. I used to work in the wedding planning industry.....and I had a very particular idea about what I visually wanted the photographs to look like. After looking at Annamae's portfolio and website, I knew she was the one.
In person, she was creative, funny and gave really good directions to help my husband and I (we're really awkward people). She laughed with us when we proclaimed we probably didn't need to kiss each for the rest of our marriage due to amount of kissing we did for photos. She giggled when I couldn't stopping talking about the dinner crab at R&G lounge I was going to devour. She was like an old friend you enjoyed the company of, who just happened to be making sure the lighting was perfect in your photos.
We were in love with the photos she delivered. Her vision for how she saw the settings we choose coincided with ours. We weren't "wash-out-pastel-in-a-vineyard" people (though i'm 1000% sure she could delivery that too), we were "awkward-but-funny-in-moody-gold-hour-lighting" people. Annamae was perfect. If we could hire her every weekend, we would.

She really deserves 10/5 stars. Thanks for everything Annamae!
