Most of our friends were shocked to find out we had our full album shortly after we got back from our honeymoon! She's also an absolute delight to work with, and makes it fun for all parties involved, and it shows in the final product. ing Anastasia, we set up a webcam interview. At that time, I could see was super down to earth, relaxed, and very nice. I told her I am not comfortable getting photos taken and would need coaching and she told me she'd make us laugh- and she did! I had already done engagement photos about 2 years prior to our wedding so she offered to do a family shoot instead, with our daughter. She traveled to my neck of the woods, as she's from Cincinnati and I'm from Jamestown, to do our family photoshoot. She was accommodating to my family's busy schedule and worked with my makeup artist to schedule the shoot on the same day as my makeup trial. She was bubbly, made us laugh and feel at ease during our shoot, and she even got our 2 year old to actually smile for some photos. She is also extremely prompt at returning pictures. During our wedding, she was very prompt, she was nice, she made me feel like an actual goddess by commenting me multiple times! Her toughest critic was my groom, because he HATES photos being taken, and even he loved her! Anastasia is super funny and has an eye for detail. She hired a second shooter to make sure all types of photos got taken and, they did, as I got thousands back! If I had to re-do my wedding again, I would hire Chapel Lane Photography over and over again! Thank you, Anastasia, for making our day so special and for providing our photos, they will be cherished for years and years to come!

I knew that photography would be an area where I'd want to spend, since these photos are going to be how we remember our wedding day for years to come! I know Anastasia through family and we also went to the same high school, so I was already following her work. I would get excited every time she posted a new session on Facebook, because let's be honest, everyone loves creepin' and spending hours looking through other people's photos. In Anastasia's photos, I especially enjoyed her attention to little details, and the bright, vibrant finished results. There were no corny forced poses and you could honestly feel the couples' love for each other in the photos. I was positive that I wanted to use Anastasia for my own wedding so I contacted her and booked her ASAP! Anastasia was always quick to reply whether it was via email, Facebook or even text which I appreciated. She was helpful in nailing down a plan for our engagement shoot and went along with my crazy plan to hit locations that were important to my fiancé and I. She had sneaks up THAT NIGHT which completely blew me away. I think I looked at them 7,000 times. Shortly after, we not only got tons of photos that we loved from the shoot, (which included our dachshund, Coney and were posted on Skyline's social media) but it made us 100x more excited to have Anastasia as our photographer for our wedding next August! As I said, photography was an area where I was willing to spend more money, but I honestly feel like a got a great deal in booking with Anastasia and think her pricing is very reasonable compared to other photographers for the amount of time, attention, and photos she gives. Our first shoot was for our engagement last fall. She made us feel so comfortable. We laughed the entire time! I also did a boudoir shoot in the Spring as a wedding gift to my husband on our wedding day. She picked the perfect location! When I say my husband's jaw dropped, I mean it! Our wedding was last June. Our photos were breathtaking. She was such a huge help.. it was like having a sixth bridesmaid. Anastasia was paid in full in May of 2017. Anastasia got engaged and was planning a September wedding. I asked, prior to paying in full, whether her company would still be able to shoot our wedding. Anastasia agreed and said it would be no problem. Fast forward to November 2017, we received a Facebook message from her stating she was no longer able to shoot our wedding as she would be going on her own honeymoon the week of our wedding instead. So after being paid in full, a signed contract, and a verbal confirmation of being able to still shoot our wedding, she cancelled on us. Anastasia not once apologized for the inconvenience or the fact that we now would have to scramble to find a photographer for our wedding. We were given two options: to either use her backup photographer or find another photographer, both of which she would understand. However, if we used the backup photographer, Anastasia stated that she would still be doing the editing. That sole statement made me weary to book the backup as it made it seem as though the backup didn’t have great skill already. I asked for the portfolio of the photographer to take a look at before I made a decision. After waiting two days, and no portfolio sent, we made the decision to go with another photographer. Per the contract, we were entitled to a refund. Our method of payment was made with a gift card we received as well as a debit card. I asked for the refund to be sent via PayPal as I figured this would be easiest. I was told that she would take a look at it later. Then I received a message an hour later stating that the refund was sent to our original payment method. However, since half was paid with a gift card, and that card was no longer in our possession and it was expired, we have yet to receive a refund. After speaking with Anastasia, this issue has yet to be resolved and it’s been over a month. Her booking company also has no answer for us. We’ve been in contact with the card company, who show that the refund was denied and sent back to Anastasia and her company. A professional business would offer to send a refund and deal with the issue themselves rather than have a client work hard to get their own money back after a cancellation by the photographer. Though her work with our fall pictures and price were great, this hassle has completely negated any decent work she has done. Her contract leaves much to be misconstrued and you will never know when she may cancel on you and if you’ll ever receive your money back. My hope is that no one else will ever have to deal with this issue as it’s less than desired.
