When we first booked Teena as a day-of coordinator, we had a wonderful conversation with her and she made us so excited about our wedding. I trusted her to bring our vision to life...
by setting up all of our decor. Fast forward to a couple weeks before wedding day, we had a final meeting with her. She seemed more irritated this time and not as excited, and mentioned to us that she was quitting the wedding industry and couldn’t wait to get out. It made me feel a little uneasy, but I still trusted her to deliver our vision. She had us fill out a very detailed PDF of every single one of our decorations and where it should be placed and I included inspo pictures. She said she would review it and let us know if she would need more time to set up based on how many decorations we had. I never heard from her regarding that. The day of the wedding she told us she broke her toe and was struggling but could still get everything set up. By 4:30pm (an hour before guests arrived) I noticed there was still a lot of decor to be set up. My MOH and mom offered to help her but she refused. During the wedding I noticed things weren’t set up correctly but I was trying to enjoy my wedding so I hired it. The next day as we were cleaning up, I noticed that more than half of the candles (around 300 candles) were not set up. This was really upsetting to me because I had planned this wedding for a year and meticulously planned all of the decorations to fit my vision, only for the decor to not even be used. While I understand she broke her toe and was in pain, she should have had a backup plan of either coming earlier to allow more time to set up, or had backup help. We still had a wonderful wedding and even though I am not going to let this ruin the wedding day, we were very disappointed with our experience with Teena and we wish our vision we planned for a year was delivered.
I can't say enough great things about Teena. We booked her as our day-of coordinator and florist. She's VERY reasonably priced and from the first appointment I had with her, it was...
clear she knows this industry. She gave great advice and honest opinions, which I really appreciated. Not to mention, the floral installations were gorgeous. I don't know what I would have done without her - she was wonderful to work with throughout the entire process and made sure everything ran smoothly the day-of. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! Thank you for everything, Teena!
We hired Teena of Ampersand Flowers and Events as our week of coordinator. While Teena did manage to keep our timeline on track and helped resolve a communication issue with the ve...
nue, her overall attitude and interactions with others wasn’t great.
Throughout the day, Teena was rude, dismissive, and abrasive with several key people, including the groom, father of the bride, groomsmen, and family members. Her negative attitude created an uncomfortable atmosphere, and several of our guests commented on it. She also had some tense interactions with other vendors, which only added to the stress of the day.
At one point, she instructed guests to stay off the grass, which seemed unnecessary at our summer camp venue. Teena forgot to release our bridesmaids table to go get food during the reception, so they ended up being some of the last people to eat. Her complaints about being tired from working another wedding the day before were uncalled for, and it seemed she was unwilling to go beyond the bare minimum of her contract while the rest of our vendors went out of their way to help in any way possible.
Teena was upfront about the fact that she wouldn’t assist with tasks outside her contract, including table setup. Her contract states that she is not able to complete the task of “physically setting up or tearing down any tables or chairs.” I took this to mean actually setting up tables- assembling tables or moving tables around. Teena meant setting tables including putting out tablecloths, plates, and cutlery. This misunderstanding led to confusion about what was expected of her, as we had five tables used for lunch that needed to be flipped to be ready for our reception. This was really the only thing that was going to need to be done before our ceremony as we had access to our venue on Friday and were doing most of our decorating the day before- which we went over with Teena in our final zoom meeting. Teena was concerned this would take too long and asked me to push lunch back half an hour. I did as she requested. I had five friends helping with set up the day of and let them know that Teena was worried about time and asked them to get those tables set as quickly as possible after lunch. Those five friends completed the table setting before Teena even arrived on site, leading Teena to express her frustration aloud that there wasn’t anything for her to do.
While I had a good experience on my wedding day and was unaware of the issues until after the wedding, it’s important to note that several guests and family members felt the impact of her negativity. Teena is human and is allowed to have bad days, but it sucked to learn how she had treated my family, friends, and other vendors after the fact.
In summary, while Teena performed well in certain logistical aspects, her overall demeanor overshadowed those efforts. We believe that a wedding coordinator should contribute positively to the experience, and unfortunately, this was not the case here.
Teena is an absolute rockstar. We hired her to be our florist and day-of coordinator. She was so easy to work with, responsive, and very respectful of our floral budget. Our floral...
s were stunning, and Teena truly created masterpieces we will admire in our wedding photos for years to come. She is mindful not to “bother” the bride or groom on wedding day, but I would happily be “bothered” by Teena any day! She has the couples’ best interest at heart, plus she’s ordained to be a stand-in officiant if needed. She’s an all-around stellar person, and we were so lucky to have hired her to be in our corner on our most important day. Thank you, Teena! (Photo in review by Robb McCormick Photography)

Hiring the right wedding planner was easily our most important wedding decision.
Our wedding had a lot of moving parts: destination wedding, family in multiple different states, ...
living in Canada half the year. Ampersand made the whole process effortless and stress-free, from the first consultation, communicating with vendors, even managing all our family dynamics.
We had an idea of what we wanted; Teena, the owner of Ampersand, really listened, helped refine our vision, and made it come to life. It was all even more beautiful than we could have imagined. Teena helped us see which decisions were important for us to make and which ones could be delegated. Even with living so far away, Teena was great at keeping an open line of communication on all updates.
When it came to the time of departure Ampersand provided a down-to-the-minute itinerary for the wedding day but also provided an optional weekend itinerary of local places to go and see that matched our interests perfectly. It was truly the icing on the cake. None of us knew the area and this service was above and beyond.
And then there was the day of the wedding! Ampersand was so organized and efficient. They executed our vision perfectly. As busy as they were, we didn’t even know they were there. Everything went so smoothly. We really couldn’t have asked for anything better.
On top of ALL the above, Ampersand even provided our gorgeous florals and the most moving and personal officiating service. All of our guests are still giving us compliments on how beautiful and magical the entire weekend was.
Ampersand is everything you need for your wedding day & more.

e. She was willing and able to work with our budget, and created absolutely STUNNING floral arrangements-- our guests were so complimentary. She answered all of my questions, knew exactly what I was looking for based off of my brief, inexperienced descriptions, and a link to my scattered pinterest board, and she delivered such perfect florals! She was super flexible, able to accommodate late changes, and was just so kind. Out of all of our vendors, she was one of the best. We felt SO confident that she was going to deliver that I was not at all worried about our flowers. Teena is fabulous!!!!!!!!

g ran smoothly. Teena did all of that and more. She answered questions, helped with decor, organized the wedding party and guests and I'm sure she addressed situations that I didn't even know about. She is amazing at what she does, and I highly recommend her to anyone planning a wedding!
Teena was our coordinator and did our bouquets and boutonnieres for our wedding. We absolutely loved Teena! For the coordination we had a few meetings with Teena leading up to the ...
wedding which were super helpful. I am very much a planner and wasn't sure how it would go with a coordinator but talking with Teena during our meetings made us feel super comfortable that we were on the right track and she was able to provide us with suggestions of vendors we were still looking for. At the wedding Teena was incredible, she made our day run so smooth from the rehearsal all the way to a super quick cleanup at the end of the night. We could not have had such a wonderfully smooth day if we did not have Teena. She made sure everything was on schedule and everything on our timeline happened, even when we had to last minute change things around slightly. Our family had so much good to say about how smooth Teena made our day go. Teena also did such a wonderful job with our flowers. My bouquet was everything. I loved it and it was exactly what I was envisioning. We loved Teena and would 1000% recommend her.

our wedding day, and I promise you that everything she touches turns to gold. She absolutely nailed my florals, they were somehow even more beautiful than any of the inspiration photos I sent or anything I could have possibly dreamed of. All I can say is, trust her! She is so incredibly talented. I literally cried when I gave my flowers away as we left for our honeymoon!
As for day-of-coordination, this is hands down one of the best decisions we could have made. I tried to organize everything to the best of my ability, however I know things go lost/shuffled in the commute to the venue. Teena came in and handled everything with grace, the reception space came to life so beautifully and she helped ease so many of the little decisions about what goes where by making quick decisions with expert ease. She is a true professional, and if you want your wedding day to be effortless (for you) and stunning - hire her! Thanks Teena!
I used Ampersand Flowers and Events for the bouquets and boutonnieres at my wedding last weekend. Everything was STUNNING.
Highly recommend!
A delightful experience . You will be in good hands here .

eased our nerves in discussion leading up to our big day, she found an alternate rehearsal venue for us to use literally last minute when our rehearsal got rained out! Her day-of coordination skills are top tier! She made sure everything was taken care of before I even had the chance to freak out about anything. In all seriousness she was the MVP of our big day! Ampersand Flowers and Events gets the highest recommendation from me!

ssistance as I had a vision but I'm not a designer. I needed someone to take what was in my head and put it on paper.
Teena was simply amazing. She helped us design the wedding ceremony and reception layout. She helped us with the colors and the design ideas. She was able to take what was in my head and put it into a concept.
She was very professional. She responded to all of my emails in a timely manner and I could not have planned and executed this wedding without her. I feel like she really cares about what she does and wanted me to have the best wedding ever. My budget was not a million dollars and she did not make me feel like since my budget was small I was somehow not important. She gave me the time, attention, and care as if I were planning a 40k wedding.
Her day of coordination services were amazing. She had everything coordinated. I did not have to worry about anything. I just showed up and everything went off without a hitch.
She also was our florists and the flowers were beautiful!!
I definitely recommend her to anyone thinking of getting a wedding coordinator or florist.

wedding. I live in NYC and had to do a lot of my planning remotely. I sent Teena some insane rambling description of the unique flower arrangements I had in my head, and she absolutely took my crazy person poorly articulated vision to life, and did it with a joie du vivre that really excited and inspired me throughout the process. She is an absolute professional - she listens to her clients, she has dialogues with her clients, and she does everything to bring your vision to life. I will be a forever client and friend of Ampersand Flowers. I implore anyone considering Ampersand Flowers for their event to at least request a quote from Teena so you can experience her energy.

ast minute adjustments and postponed our original plans. We had a smaller ceremony and wanted to go for a different look to differentiate it from our future (hopefully) bigger reception. Teena took my ideas and made them beautiful. Going into wedding planning, flowers were not a priority for me, but the gorgeous bouquet helped to make our day feel as special as it ended up being. One upside of the COVID postponement is getting to have a second wedding day with another lovely creation by Ampersand.

l, friendly... the list goes on! She created the most beautiful bouquets and floral arrangements for our wedding. I told her “I like classy and timeless but with a touch of whimsy and boho” (like what? Lol) and she made it come to life so incredibly!!! She was flexible and worked tediously to make sure everything was beyond perfect for us.
Teena is amazing! Super responsive, flexible, and organized. Can't WAIT to see how the flowers turn out for our wedding in less than a month!! :)

ed. This year we went from having a 200 person wedding to an intimate 20 person affair and through it all Teena was a life line. We are hoping to still have a reception next year for our 1 year anniversary and wouldn't want anyone else to create our flowers or help run the day as our wedding coordinator.

bus area and most of them were busy, too expensive and / or non responsive. FORTUNATELY (!) Ampersand Flowers was willing to create a bouquet last minute, with the color scheme I wanted at a low cost! The bonus? Teena was sooo sweet and kind - she knew all the right questions to ask to create my beautiful bouquet. Thank you, Teena!

iful job. We can't rave about her enough!
Teena with Ampersand was originally serving as our wedding planner and florist for our "big" wedding, scheduled for June 20, 2020. She was amazing through the entire planning process, attending meetings and venue tours with us and asking the important questions we'd never even have thought of! She was absolutely invaluable during that process.
When COVID hit, we were faced with the emotional and difficult task of postponing our wedding. Teena helped us make that process painless and smooth, contacting vendors and giving helpful advice every step of the way.
My husband and I decided we still wanted to get married in an intimate ceremony on our original wedding date... and of course, we turned to Teena! She did the flowers (which were exactly what we'd talked about and were incredibly beautiful) AND served as our officiant, providing a meaningful, customized ceremony. We also decided to rent Ampersand for our 10-person "reception" and dinner, and it was exactly what we needed and such a beautiful space.
Do yourself a favor and HIRE TEENA. Whether it's just for flowers or for planning, coordination or officiating, you'll be in the hands of an absolute professional who will always deliver 100% and will help you navigate any crises seamlessly! We can't sing her praises enough!
Teena did an incredible job bringing my vision to life and creating the most beautiful tulip and roses arrangements for my bridal bouquet and arch for my intimate wedding ceremony ...
during all this Covid 19 madness, including bouquets and boutonnieres for the bridal party. From our first consultation, Teena was very friendly and I could tell she is passionate about what she does and that she has clear knowledge of what goes well together and a beautiful eye for aesthetics. Teena was very understanding during all the changes that had to be done due to the pandemic and honestly I couldn’t recommend her enough.

s. I would email her late at night, and she still returns all my emails right away. She is extremely responsive, organized, and on top of everything, which gave me comfort that I can really rely on her. My wedding was travel theme, so I was very specific with my decorations and had lots of requests. But she made our wedding day exactly how we wanted. In the wedding planning phase, most likely you will be overwhelmed, stressed, and worry about everything. Well, Teena is there take all that away. Tell her how you want it to be, and she will make that happen. You never have to worry about anything when you work with her. She knows everything, and will give the best advises ever. You can tell how experienced she is. You will need someone like her to plan your big day, trust me! Having a reliable person like her on your big day is probably most important to a successful wedding. The quality of her work is exceptional. I recommend her to anyone!
