Hi, I’m Amanda—the face behind Amanda Joy Coordinating and your biggest wedding-day cheerleader.
After eight years in education, I traded lesson plans for timelines and discovered a new love for helping people feel prepared, supported, and completely taken care of on their wedding day. As your wedding coordinator, I’m here to handle the details, keep things moving, solve the inevitable little problems, and use my superpower of organization to make sure that you actually get to enjoy the start of your happily ever after.
My goal is to take the logistics off your plate while bringing a calm, organized, and genuinely excited presence to your day. I’m the coordinator who will make sure you and your partner have eaten, track down the missing boutonniere, and somehow know where everyone needs to be before they do. But I'm also the coordinator who will probably tear up when you put on your dress, bust a few moves while I make my rounds at your reception, and crack a few “dad” jokes during family portraits. To this coordinator, a job well done is seeing you, your partner, and your loved ones have as much fun on your wedding day as I'm feeling getting to work my very own dream job.
When I'm not coordinating weddings, you can usually find me working with my husband at his family jewelry store, coaching a Crossfit class, fostering or volunteering with our local Houston animal shelters, or doing jigsaw puzzles at home.
