Absolutely AMAZING!!!! Devin was on point from start to finish. She took time to get to know me and my fiancé, our personal story, and what we wanted from our ceremony. She designed our ceremony just for us!!! She is a true gem
Devin made our wedding day perfect through the joy and love she brought as our officiant! From the moment we met her, we felt that the universe put her in our lives to make our big day extra special. She truly listened to us, got to know us, and translated all of our love and values into the beautiful words she wrote and read at our ceremony. She was there every step of the way to create the perfect celebration of our marriage and handle all of the important details. Her calming spirit and genuinely caring personality made the whole experience unforgettable and we will always be grateful for the kindness and the love she radiated and the support she provided during one of the biggest moments of our lives! She was prompt with all communication and dedicated to fine tuning the details of our ceremony including selecting vows and filing our marriage certificate. The love and time she put into the process made it stress free and fun! We highly recommend Devin!!

AltarEgo Ceremonies in Issue, MD, creates modern, inclusive wedding ceremonies for couples who want the moment to feel real. This is for the couples who never quite saw themselves reflected in traditional wedding culture. Queer couples, interracial couples, multicultural families, nonreligious couples, neurodivergent couples, and anyone craving a ceremony that feels honest, intentional, and fully their own.
Around here, there’s no pressure to perform, follow outdated traditions, or fit into a version of love that doesn’t reflect who you are. Every ceremony is written completely from scratch around your relationship, your story, your personalities, and the way you naturally love each other. No cookie-cutter scripts. No awkward copy-and-paste vows. No “Dearly Beloved” unless that’s actually your vibe.
The goal is simple: create a soft space for real love.
AltarEgo Ceremonies specializes in nontraditional weddings, intimate ceremonies, elopements, vow renewals, and personalized vow writing support. Whether your wedding is bold and colorful, deeply emotional, wildly unconventional, beautifully low-key, or somewhere in between, your ceremony should sound like you and feel like home.
Led by officiant and creative storyteller Devin Brinkley, AltarEgo blends emotional depth, thoughtful writing, and calming presence to create ceremonies that are grounded, collaborative, and deeply personal. From the first consultation to the final filing of your marriage certificate, couples are supported every step of the way with care, intention, and zero judgment.
Come as you are. Say it how you mean it.

As I got closer to my 10th wedding anniversary, I started thinking about how much marriage has meant in my own life. It is not always easy, but it is one of the most meaningful things I have ever been part of, and I would not trade it for anything. My husband is a wedding caterer, so over the years I have had a front row seat to a lot of beautiful love stories. Watching so many couples show up for each other made me want to be more directly involved in those moments.
I started AltarEgo Ceremonies because I also saw a gap. A lot of couples, especially those who do not connect with traditional or religious settings, were not finding a ceremony experience that actually felt like them. I wanted to change that.
My background is in storytelling, branding, and creative strategy, and that shapes everything about how I approach ceremony writing. I care about the energy in the room, the details people remember years later, and creating moments that feel genuine instead of performative.
I work with couples from all different backgrounds, belief systems, and identities. Whether you want something spiritual, unique, secular, or somewhere in between, I am here for it. Every ceremony I write is built from scratch around your actual story. No templates, no filler, no pressure to perform.
At the end of the day, I believe love does not require an explanation. It just requires space.
If you are looking for someone who will actually listen and help you create something that feels true to you, I would love to connect.
