Jan was amazing. She was the wedding planner for my sister's wedding, my brother's wedding, and we hired Alma Event Planner for our wedding in December 2023 as day of coordinator. ...
She was a LIFESAVER! We had a somewhat simpler ceremony at Matheson Hammock Park. This meant we had to have vendors for tables, chairs, dance floor, as well as our caterer and photographer. We had to use the same chairs from the dinner for the ceremony, and move them around. Jan was amazing--everything was set up where and when it needed to be, handling all our makeshift, last minute plans and set ups. She made sure my partner and I could enjoy ourselves, get to eat the food, and have drinks, have our photos and lots of dancing. It was amazing. Best day of our lives and I would relive it a million times over. Thank you so much, Jan! You're a veritable STAR!
Working with Jan from Alma Event Planner was an absolute dream. As our month-of wedding planner, Jan not only exceeded our expectations—she completely blew us away with her profess...
ionalism, precision, and warmth. From the very beginning, she was responsive, thoughtful, and full of helpful guidance. She answered every question I had (and there were many!) with patience and clarity, and helped us develop a detailed event timeline that kept everything on track.
In the hectic weeks leading up to the wedding, having Jan coordinate with our vendors was a huge relief—but what truly wowed us was how effortlessly she ran the day itself. Jan is one of those rare people who is completely on top of every single detail without ever making you feel stressed. If anything went wrong on the day of the wedding, I truly had no idea—because Jan had it handled before it even reached me.
As someone who’s admittedly a bit of a control freak, I was nervous about handing over the reins for décor setup (and she knew this). But when I walked into our venue, I was stunned. Jan and her team executed my vision better than I ever could have. Every piece I brought—every sign, photo, and personal touch—was perfectly placed. Her attention to detail is unmatched.
What made the experience even more special was how personable and supportive Jan was throughout the entire day. She was always one step behind me, ready with my lip gloss or a helping hand, like a trusted friend who just gets it. She brought a calming energy and a sense of joy to the day that I will never forget.
And Jan’s magic didn’t stop when the last dance ended. At the end of the night, everything was packed up perfectly, ready to go. We were able to leave the venue the next day without any stress, knowing that nothing had been forgotten and everything was in its place. From the start of the event to the absolute finish, Jan made everything easy, seamless, and smooth.
Jan is everything you want by your side: detail-oriented, punctual, organized, and truly dedicated to her couples. She took all the planning we’d done over the past year, met with us a few weeks out, and brought it to life flawlessly, allowing us to be fully present and actually enjoy the day.
Jan, we cannot thank you and your team enough. You are a true professional and a wonderful person, and any couple would be lucky to have you by their side. If you're considering Alma Event Planner—don’t hesitate. You’re in the best hands!!

now what we would have done without her. The entire wedding party commented on how amazing she was. My youngest daughter told me she HAD to have her for her wedding as well after about an hour of seeing her in action! She handled everything and anything thrown at her and all we did was… enjoy the special day! Thank you Jan! (I’ll be calling you very soon! ;) )
Absolutely amazing. From the first phone call, to rehearsal, to wedding day & everything in between, Jan and her team have been the best ever. Jan is extremely organized, knowledge...
able and experienced and it helped so much to know we were making the right decisions with her guidance. She helped with every detail, small to big, had great recommendations for vendors (including which packages we should choose based on what we needed and our budget). On wedding day they went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly. They made sure everyone stayed on track and in place, even making sure I always had something to eat or drink. Jan made this such a beautiful and stress-free experience. It really helped me enjoy my wedding planning process because I knew the whole time I could trust her with the wedding of my dreams. I am beyond grateful for Jan & her team. Thank you times a million!
Alma’s girls did amazinggggg! They made sure everything ran smoothly and on time for our big day. And that’s just how it went! We couldn’t be anymore happier. They were so helpful ...
that they even went out of their way to help wash the beach sand off of my feet while in my wedding dress. Thank you ladies!

t amazing personalities I’ve ever seen. They made sure everything ran smooth, and any issues were taken care of. They were a breath of fresh air on a very stressful day. You girls will forever have my gratitude, and the love from my bridesmaid/groomsmen!!!
I don't think our wedding would have been nearly as much of a success without all of the help from Jan and Melissa. We did the month of planning package, and from our first meeting...
with Jan the month before our wedding I knew we had made an awesome decision to hire her team. She helped us coordinate a timeline that worked with all of the goals we had for the wedding, and then on wedding day ensure that the timeline went off without a hitch.
Melissa met with us and our bridal party to do a walkthrough the day before, which I didn't even realize how much we needed until we ran through it with her.
On the wedding day, they took all of the DIY decor my mom had made (and there was a LOT of it) and arranged it all beautifully throughout the venue. I had been really nervous about how it was all going to get set up that morning until I talked with them about it, and they did such a gorgeous job. I never would have been able to guess that their team had not been to our venue before because they were truly able to run the show and get things set up like they were there all the time.
The whole wedding day, Jan and her team were focused on making everything perfect for my husband and I. I didn’t have to worry about anyone getting where they needed to go during the day. She made sure we didn’t see each other before we walked down the aisle despite having to coordinate us in different groups of pictures. She made sure we had drinks and food without even having to ask for them.
At the end of the night, her and her team also broke down and packaged up all of our DIY decor, which I was incredibly grateful for.
Our venue package actually included a day of coordinator, but the services weren’t as in depth as what Jan and her team offered and I’m so glad we went with Alma Event Planners instead. I could not recommend Alma Event Planners more. They were all so personable and professional, and definitely made it so I could enjoy my wedding day to the fullest!

The day of the wedding we had two coordinators with us, and I felt so secure that the day would go smoothly, as it did. the venue was pushing to reschedule our wedding and we (I shouldn’t say we, because SHE solution seeked) and made everything happen. It was the most perfect day. Everything went according to plan!! We had delays and hiccups here and there but Jan made it all happen! I will always and forever recommend Alma planning to anyone I know getting married!
Janina and her team, Alma Event Planner, are phenomenal. Me and my husband just had our wedding late January before the pandemic and she helped me every step of the way. Initially ...
I tried planning the wedding myself, but realized it was more than I could handle and had found her through the knot. She gave me an affordable price within our budget and kept everything in check. It really relieved a lot of stress. She and her team aided me through every step of the way, explained what will happen come wedding day and weeks before the day. She even helped me put my mother's mind at ease when it came to certain Filipino traditions for the ceremony. When it came to wedding day, the wedding was a complete hit with the guests and I didn't have anything to worry about. I was a pretty happy bride and able to enjoy the day with family. I definitely highly recommend Janina for any special events!!

d luckily we only had minor issues arise and they were right there with a solution. Highly recommend Jan and her team!!!
Okay let me first start this post by making sure that if you are on the fence about (at minimum) a day of coordinator - my single most important advice is: GET ONE! This is coming ...
from someone who wasn't initially planning on getting a day of coordinator because of budget issues. The closer I got to the wedding (and the more overwhelming it all became) and the more my friends kept telling me I should indeed get a day of coordinator, I finally bit the bullet, made a few calls, and immediately after talking to Jannina I knew she was it. Not only was her price reasonable, but her reviews, and then the sense of professionalism, experience, and dedication I had from her during a simple phone conversation - I was hooked.
The day of my wedding I was stressed for 5 seconds - once it was all becoming real and multiple of my friends were asking me "what do we do with....". As soon as Jannina got there, every.single.worry was completely gone. "Your wish is my command" is truly her motto, but more so in a way that you can tell she feels personally invested in making sure your wedding day goes without a hitch and that the bride is as relaxed as possible without worrying about any of the behind the scenes stuff. I got to enjoy my wedding!! From creating my timeline a few weeks prior (and thus helping me realize what loose ends to tie before the wedding), to working on everything behind the scenes, to having sewing kits to fix any dress mishaps (which did happen!), to even running around to get my garter right before "showtime" after I realized I forgot to put it on. I cannot tell you what a gem she is. She anticipates, she solves. And most of all - you can tell she is in it for the love of love stories.

erything we needed in a planner, she went way above and beyond making everything from start to finish come out perfectly. We deviated from many traditional wedding norms and Jan had great ideas and alternatives, she also guided us and handled things I'd never have thought about. Ultimately this led to one of the best weddings I've ever been to and I'm grateful it turned out to be my wedding! Additionally her negotiating skills and working with clients/vendors saved us thousands! Best of all, I was actually able to 100% enjoy my own wedding on the big day thanks to Alma Events Planner. I highly recommend Jan and her team as your choice in wedding planners. You will be doing yourself a great favor in doing so!

ixed last minute problems and made things run smoothly. IF I had to do it all again I’d choose Jan over and over again. She was so helpful and so nice and kept me calm and even helped me fix my makeup when it started to smudge after pictures. My personal stuff ended up spread everywhere in many different rooms and buildings and she gathered it all for me and kept track of everything. Thank you so much for everything you made my life so much easier and made my day so much more amazing. Thank you again!!

o easy task. Jan made me feel so relaxed and at ease that she had everything under control. We touched based a few weeks before and then on wedding day she was on her toes. She fixed issues before I even knew about them! Seriously, she was amazing! My husband had a hole in his pants and she fixed that. My wine box broke right before the wedding and she fixed that. I did not even know! She broke down and packed up everything I expected. I could go on and on. If you are looking for a fun, reliable, professional, hard worker to help with your wedding, Jan is your girl!! Thank you so so much for making my wedding day a dream come true! You rocked!! :)

m the moment we met Jan, we knew she was the one we wanted to work with. She was incredibly accommodating with respect to not only when and where we were able to meet, but also was willing to get everything done within our budget. In fact she far exceeded our expectations in the quality and attention to detail she gave for the planning package we chose.
The actual wedding day was just about as stress free as a wedding could be, a feat that would not have been possible without Jan and her husband. While Jan was making sure everything was running seamlessly before and during the ceremony, her husband was at the venue location ensuring the coordination and set up of the vendors was perfect. They truly are a terrific team.
Besides planning and coordinating the entire wedding, Jan was incredibly knowledgeable and helpful with making introductions to many of the other vendors we used.
If anyone is looking for an experienced and easy to work with planner, we whole heartedly recommend Alma event planners to assist in making their special day perfect.

ing for someone to take a little of the stress off during the planning process and all of the stress off on our big day! Well, she did this and more. She was so helpful during the planning process, especially in the final weeks keeping everything organized and on time. The day of our wedding, there were a couple of incidents with the venue but I was completely stress-free knowing she would handle everything for us and keep our day running smoothly, and it did! I am not a very detailed person, but I was able to tell her what my vision was, she gave me suggestions then put it all together beautifully! Our day was absolutely perfect, our guests loved everything and had an amazing time. Janina was all we could hope for and more, she was kind, helpful and knew exactly what she was doing. o weeks prior to my big day. She helped me make decisions and brought up things that I would have never thought of. My pre-wedding stress levels were significantly reduced from the moment we met. I handed over all the decors, she confirmed all the vendors, and handled all the last minute issues that came up. Her assistant spent the day at my venue and Jan was back and forth between my hotel and the venue. I did not have to worry about a thing and she really gave me piece of mind. Jan was always available, never late, and easy to communicate with. She and her team are true professionals and they definitely enhanced the whole wedding experience. My wedding wouldn't have come out so perfect without her. Do yourself a huge favor and hire her to help you get through the most important day of your life!

My mind was at ease knowing I had such a great team to take care of everything on our special day. Jan took the time to meet with me prior to my wedding and collect all info about my vendors, listen to all the specifics I wanted in my wedding, as well as thoroughly reviewed my timeline. I felt like you were not only our coordinator, but you've also managed to keep us calm throughout the day. I feel like I've gained a friend :) Thank you for everything.

n and detail-oriented so I really viewed hiring Jannina at first as my right hand lady on our wedding day. However, as we approached the weekend - I was way off base! Weeks before, she began to keep us organized, gave me reminders, had wonderful advice and guidance and vendors to recommend. She was so great that I pulled the trigger and hired her for the entire weekend. Between the welcome party and the wedding ceremony, dinner and reception I had VERY heavy expectations and even more decor : ) I thought I would have time to really lay it all out but I absolutely didn't. I was super nervous, having not worked with J before, walking up to our welcome party but with only a little direction, the lanterns, runners, rentals, flags, bar, check-in table, EVERYTHING were PERFECT. The wedding day was the same story and even more impressive. She's a rockstar and I will continue to work with her for years to come for other events I do in South Florida. She listens, multi-tasks, steps up, takes directions and is most importantly, sweet, compassionate and funny. I couldn't recommend her and her team more. Our entire wedding weekend was a success because of Jannina : )
