Allison Hanson Photography

phy is classic and authentic, Allison is truly an artist. We're so grateful to have these memories to look back on forever <3

ional in her attention to detail and accommodating the vision we wanted for not only our wedding but our engagement and rehearsal photos. Allison checked in with us frequently leading up to our big day and was easy to work with. At each photoshoot, she took our instruction and then directed us to manifest absolute stunning photos. She was phenomenal with everything from our individual photos to our big crazy family images. Allison’s easy-going nature and wonderful personality made our wedding photos stress-free, while still capturing each smile and all the magic.

our wedding that wasn't too posed or edited was our goal, and Allison truly delivered. She was able to capture the pure emotion and grab the light in a way that makes every photo so spectacular. My husband and I are both a bit camera shy and Allison made us feel so comfortable and stress-free throughout the entire process. She was not just our wedding photographer, she was above and beyond that, helping my husband and I enjoy the day with encouraging words the entire time. Our wedding was in January and we still can't get over how much we love every single shot. From our engagement shots to our wedding photos she has captured memories for us we will be able to look back on and cherish forever. We could not recommend her more to anyone looking for a wedding photographer in Charleston. Thank you so so much Allison!!

recreated emotions in simplest photos. She was adaptable, caring, kind, and a true gift to the whole wedding process. She posts a sneak peak a few days after the wedding and it’s something we’re so grateful for. The pictures I posted are some of the sneak peak - I’m truly obsessed. My husband and I found the picture-taking process so seamless and fun. My husband isn’t big on pictures, but he couldn’t stop raving about how easy it was with Allison. I will forever be a supporter of her. She is exactly what you want from a photographer and some. Thank you for everything, Allison!! Can’t wait to get the final pictures ❤️

hotos left us speechless and emotional just looking at them. Neither my husband nor I had ever done professional photos before, and she made the process so easy. Getting to meet her to do our engagement photos before our wedding was so helpful. She was fantastic at directing us so poses didn't look staged or awkward. She has an incredible eye for catching movement and light in a way that makes the photos feel magical. We have our wedding photos hung up all around our house. They look so classic and beautiful, and we know we will enjoy them for the rest of our lives. Thank you for everything, Allison!

el so natural while you are taking the pictures, you sometimes forget she is there! Allison is also incredibly sweet and does whatever it takes to make sure you are getting the photos you want! Every picture we see brings tears to our eyes! I cannot say enough good things about her!

el so comfortable in front of the camera. We had so much fun taking pictures with her. Her pictures show movement and are light and airy. We will cherish these pictures forever.

y delivered. We haven’t even received all of our photos but between her blog post of our day and our engagement photos we have been receiving so many compliments of how she truly was able to capture the atmosphere and all of the love that was in the room at our wedding. My husband and I were so nervous about photos as we rarely take them but Allison made us feel so comfortable - she is fun, easy-going and the type of person that makes you feel like you have known her for years. We adore Allison and are so excited to have her continue to capture all of life’s exciting moments!

e will treasure forever. Allison was THE BEST. She wanted to make sure her vision was a good fit for us, she spent time talking with us before even meeting in person for our photos, and she is just an overall lovely person. Took a lot of the stress and nerves out of the wedding day for us. We look forward to using her again for photos in the future.

t also made them fun! She captured so many candid and posed photos that we truly feel we can relive the experience while cherishing them for years to come! 10/10 recommend, would definitely chose again!

e to enjoy our day and be with our guests, without spending too much time taking formal photos. Allison totally understood and worked with us to make sure we had the photos we wanted, but didn't feel like we missed any part of our wedding. Most of the time you never even noticed she was there, yet she was capturing everything. She is just so easy-going and great to work with. Could not recommend enough!

Can’t thank Allison enough for her beautiful work!!!

with how they turned out. She was flexible and worked with me while trying to pick a date around all the rainy days that we had. Allison is so fun!! She's literally the sweetest and was so patient with our dog, Percy who joined us in the shoot.

mend her enough!!!

the light so beautifully! That was the reason why we booked her originally, and she certainly delivered on our wedding under the oaks in Charleston! She was always very professional. I really appreciated her efficiency. We had a bit of a tight schedule and I was so impressed by how she kept us on schedule and made sure we got ALL of the photos we wanted. She's so receptive of requests for certain photo spots or poses, but she also has a keen eye for this herself, so if you're clueless about what you want, she'll handle that for you and it will be better than you could ever imagine! My husband and I are so incredibly thankful we found her and will cherish our photos for years to come.

100% recommend Allison for your wedding.

orning of the wedding I completely forgot about getting the boutonnière and bouquet prior to our first look. Allison immediately offered to go to our venue and meet the florist and picked up everything we needed and brought it to our first look. I would recommend her to anyone and can’t wait to have more photos done next time we are in Charleston, SC. You will not regret hiring her as your photographer on your special day!

h fun action photos from the reception from friends and family. 100% would recommend her!!

ng and made sure that we still had an amazing experience! She put us so at ease during both the engagement and wedding shoots - and it shows in the pictures! The pictures themselves are amazing. We got back hundreds of pictures back and Allison (and her second shooter) captured every moment perfectly. I HIGHLY recommend Allison as a wedding photographer!!

ison has the PERFECT touch when it comes to both of these things. While I am picky, I knew she had an incredible eye from her Instagram and wedding blog posts, and had a good feeling about her. We met at a coffee shop and she was so down to earth, professional and easy to talk to! It felt like she really cared about who we were, our story, and how she could portray us through our pictures. At our engagement shoot, she made us feel SO relaxed and made it fun and goofy so we could shake off our nerves! She tells you how to position yourself in a way that doesn’t feel posed or awkward. When we received the pictures, we were blown away by how she captured our love and personalities in a way that seemed natural and true to who we are. The way she finds the right natural light is a dream. Her eye is incredible! Seeing all of this talent, made us super excited for our wedding day! Allison and her second shooter, Stephen, came to shoot our wedding, and they couldn’t have been better! On the wedding day, they made us feel calm and they helped the day to move along smoothly, in a way that wasn’t rushed. They both made taking pictures fun and exciting as we got lots of different shots, and Allison made sure that we got all the shots we wanted. The day after our wedding, she posted a sneak peak of about 70 beautiful pictures from our wedding! It was so fun to get to relive it right away and to see how GORGEOUS, joy-filled, and genuine the pictures were. Planning a wedding during a pandemic, there were a lot of things that were nerve wracking, but throughout the whole process, we were so confident and excited about our decision to hire Allison to capture our day! She is AMAZING!!!!

fun to experience.

to shift our wedding date back and opt for a smaller celebration. Not only was she flexible and accommodating (which really helped to reduce my stress), she truly captured the emotion, happiness, and intimacy of the day! The photos are stunning - she truly has an eye for lighting and locations!! Plus she makes you feel comfortable and natural in front of the camera. We plan to have a larger reception post-pandemic and will not hesitate to use her again. Cannot recommend her enough!

of the camera - this was the first time either of us had ever had our photos taken professionally like this. If you live in the Charleston area you absolutely need to book Allison!!!

different ways you can go! She made us feel very at ease during our engagement shoot and on our wedding day. She got all the shots we wanted but was never intrusive. She was also just super fun and friendly to be around! We love our wedding photos and recommend Allison to any friends who are looking for a wedding photographer :)

up to our wedding she was responsive and organized and on the day of she made everything so fun and easy. We have gotten so many compliments of how beautiful all of the photos are!

photos taken before and were a little uncomfortable in front of the camera but Allison guided us through the shoot and we wound up with a nice mix of posed and candid pictures that we loved! Our wedding day was just the same. Allison and her assistant, Tizzy, were super professional but so much fun at the same time! Allison shared a few photos from the wedding almost immediately afterwards while she worked on the rest and we loved that we had something to share on social media right away. It wasn't much longer that we received the rest of the photos! Couldn't be happier with everything!

ectly captures the moments, emotions, and expressions in natural, airy, and light photos. As soon as I saw examples of her work, I knew she was the photographer for us. Her photos are consistently breath taking. We basically told her right away that we'd love to have her work with us and we're so lucky she was able to! Our friends and family spent hours looking at the photos after the wedding and were so impressed. We're still getting compliments. Allison was quick to get the pictures to us too! She has the perfect eye for where we should stand for the best lighting and what poses to do. My husband and I aren't used to doing these things and Allison made it so easy and comfortable. I highly recommend doing an engagement shoot in advance to practice these poses. It'll be easy to remember which ones you like the most during the wedding! We selected Allison's longest package, ~9 hours, which was perfect for getting ready shots and the first look through the end of the wedding, when we had a sparklers exit. Allison is so talented and her photos are truly spectacular. She perfectly captured our wedding and I would highly recommend her to anyone!

ptured the most amazing photos! She was extremely organzined and easy to deal with while planning and of course the day of. Her knowledge of photography gave us a perfect “Golden Hour” and we felt completely at ease behind her Lense. I would highly recommend Allison for your wedding photogrpaher and we look forward visiting SC again and getting some updated family pictures with her!

s they have seen. She was great to deal with leading up to our wedding day and helped with the timeline and always got back quickly to my emails. Our photos on our wedding day ran very smoothly and they are amazing. I love all of them so much and couldn't be any happier. I would definitely recommend Allison!

tographer, Allison was one of the first we contacted. We met at a local Starbucks and connected immediately! She was so nice and had very reasonably priced packages (they've since changed but are still very reasonable). We knew right away that we wanted to work with her. Over the months leading up to the wedding, we emailed occasionally as needed (to ask/answer questions, etc.). Allison was always very responsive. On the day of our wedding Allison and her second photographer, Katie, showed up to my parents house on time and took a lot of great photos of us getting ready. They took so many amazing pictures throughout the ceremony and reception and we are SO happy with how they came out! Allison is super friendly, laid-back, and accommodating. Due to a delay in our schedule for the night, (the limo got pulled over on the way to the reception for a headlight that was out!) my husband and I had to step out of the reception for about 30 or so minutes to do some pictures of just us and we had a lot of fun working with Allison for those, too. She was so quick with getting our online album up (only about a week!) and then the coffee table book was delivered about 6 weeks after the wedding. (and all of this while she was moving from New Hampshire to South Carolina!) The only downside is that since she is now in South Carolina, I can't use her for future work! I highly recommend Allison to everyone so they can have as wonderful an experience as we did. Thanks so much Allison!

ed our wedding in less than 9 months and were so happy to hear Allison still had our wedding date available. We had a strict budget and she worked with us to accommodate our needs still ensuring we could do an engagement shoot, the wedding, and the photo booth. Allison and her husband made us feel very comfortable and are easy to work with. She provided sneak previews on her Facebook page just a few days after our wedding that our family were able to enjoy while we were on our honeymoon. We also received all our photos the same week as providing our address. We are beyond thrilled with the whole experience and would strongly recommend Allison Hanson Photography to anyone!

of the wedding, Allison arrived on time and was so upbeat and fun! She and her husband are really personable and made our more formal pictures comfortable and enjoyable. She also went along with our sillier requests (involving sunglasses and colorful socks), which we appreciated. Our bridal party repeatedly commented on how cool she was and how much fun they were having with the pictures! Our fabulous experience with Allison was matched by the beautiful photos she produced. The pictures are gorgeous, and she got great shots of pretty much every special moment (both planned and unplanned) throughout the night. As we went through our wedding photos, my husband and I honestly felt like little kids opening presents on Christmas morning! All in all, better than we could have ever imagined. Allison is professional, incredibly talented, and fun! She has our highest recommendation.

Allison is very personable, high energy, idea oriented and very thorough. She captured all the moments we wanted and more. She and her husband were so much fun to work with. My wedding party, and even my husband (who hates getting his picture taken) had a blast with Allison! We are so pleased with our experience and our pictures (which were given to us less than a month after our wedding). We received a USB memory stick with our pictures on it, a website link for our friends and family to view, and a beautiful large print of our favorite picture. We are so happy on how everything turned out! I highly recommend Allison to everyone looking for a photographer to capture their special moments. :-)

ing day photo shoots, and they budgeted time perfectly! We were able to finish getting all of the shots that we wanted ahead of schedule and spend more time with our guests. Plus, we were thrilled with the results! Our package included a USB, prints, and a photo book designed by Allison that impresses everyone who sees it. Allison gave all of the items in our package to us very quickly. We would highly recommend Allison Hanson Photography to anyone who desires a flexible, down-to-earth, yet highly professional and skilled photographer.
