All Set Events

Extremely unprofessional. We did not learn who our DJ was until the day of. If I would’ve known it was literally a random hire, I would’ve just used my own playlists. He showed up looking like a complete slob. The music was too soft all night. I even made requests, and he had no idea what I was talking about. As the bride. Didn’t play the songs I asked, haha. They didn’t test the officiants mic, so 15 minutes before the ceremony they had to stop our string quartet to test it. After all of our guests arrived. It was truly embarrassing.  I’m fairly positive the coordinators showed up late, too. They didn’t introduce themselves to anyone, and my family + wedding party had no clue where she was a majority of the set-up time. I basically had everything lined up ready to go, and the day of, they moved so incredibly slow. 45 min before the ceremony, I was setting up things inside. Mind you, the venue was the Simpson House, so decor was minimal. None of our tables were set up before the ceremony, so guests had to walk through a mess outside to get to the ceremony space. Whatever, people don’t remember things like that, but I did.  The assistant coordinator was great and working so hard to get things done, so I’ll give her that. But she was very young. Icing on the cake was at the end of the night, they asked us how everything went, how the music was, etc. Girl, not the time.  I don’t usually write reviews that could negatively impact a small business, but 6 months later, this vendor is the only one we hired we have regrets about. I appreciate the help, but I still feel like my wedding party + me and my husband did most of the work. Take less weddings next year if this is going to be a recurring issue.

it, to sewing up my mom’s dress when it ripped, she did not miss a single beat the entire day. We would ask her to do something and her answer was always that she had already done it. She was so sweet and fun too! Every little thing we maybe didn’t think of, she DID!  We also used them for our DJ and we had Alex. Could not say enough good things about the music the entire night. The dance floor was bumping until the last song of the night. He also played every single request from us and our guests which we loved. Our ceremony music was flawless. Alex checked in with us multiple times throughout the night to ensure we were having a good time and the music was everything we wanted.  The ONLY thing I will add is that there is not much communication up until month of the wedding, and that is completely normal. We were initially worried about it but realized there didn’t need to be communication prior to that. We met with both the coordinator and DJ a few weeks prior and they had all the information they needed to make our day perfect.

in advance. The week of my wedding they were very pushy about getting paid. I had not talked to the DJ yet, so I was iffy as well. The DJ didn’t call me until 9:30pm the night before my wedding (during my rehearsal). The day of the wedding, because of poor planning by the DJ was horrible. The reception entrances were played too long. One set of my wedding party wasn’t introduced and when they walked out the DJ said Let’s give another round of applause for Mr & Mrs. It was so embarrassing. Long story short, this company hired a random DJ that they subbed out. They picked someone they had never seen perform or even know as well. They offered me a small amount of money for a refund, but I could only have it if I signed an agreement saying I wouldn’t share my experience anymore. I didn’t take that offer. I would rather share how they treated us wrong and made money when all they did was sub my wedding out. I was so sad and disappointed. We can’t get our day back and we all know the DJ sets the tone. He was horrible. I would have rather played my own playlists. I do not recommend this company! The DJ from the ceremony to reception texted me asking me to link him to my Spotify playlists. I was upset and saddened because this is why I wanted to have this talked out and planned ahead of time. During the reception, he played his DJ name over the music. I can assure you that no one is going to call. We had to tell him every time we were ready to do another wedding activity like the shoe game, cut cake, and things like that. He didn't dismiss the wedding party table to get food first and just dismissed all tables. Again, very embarrassing. I still can't believe this happened.

of my music preferences and executed the playlist flawlessly, resulting in so many compliments from our guests and a packed dance floor all night long. People also loved his table dismissal game! Additionally, Eden alleviated a ton of pre-wedding and day of stress by helping us nail down timelines and decor - she's so clever, like when she proposed using our bridemaids bouquets as the centerpiece for our kings table since I didn’t have anything planned and was running out of time to create more decor. Eden also helped us with the ceremony rehearsal the day before the wedding, which I was extremely grateful for! Sky & Eden worked together seamlessly to make our special day fun, memorable, and low-stress. We are beyond grateful for their top-notch service!

g and made sure everything stayed on schedule and checked in throughout the day and evening to make sure we were happy with how things were going and to see if we needed anything or wanted anything changed. Highly recommend - she was super helpful and was a comfort knowing she was there if anything came up during the day.

nd, and understanding, and they provided amazing service for our wedding day. Our wedding was beautiful and ran smoothly because of them and I am bittersweet about no longer working with them. I highly recommend this vendor, and I hope you all join the All Set Events family. Thank you so much Sky and Eden! (I wish I could rate them much higher.)

am that made the event go off without a hitch. Highly recommend!

mmend them to anyone. They made the day go smoothly including throwing in a game when dinner was a bit late! The control of the group was amazing, making sure everyone knew where to go and what to do. They were masterful in song selection based on the group present, no fifty cent for grandma, throughout the evening. With professional and humorous announcements throughout the day! 10/10 or in this case 5 stars!

was an incredible DJ. He could read the room so well, adjusting music to meet the entertainments needs of the crowd, and guided the party along as the MC in a professional and fun manner. I’d definitely recommend All Set for any weddings of my friends and family in the future!

posted in a local KC wedding group and All Set Events responded that they had our date open! They had good reviews so I figured they'd be good enough... and they definitely exceeded our expectations! Communication was super easy with them and their pre-wedding form was great and allowed us to provide details on how we wanted everything and when. Day of our DJ, Sky, was awesome!! He was so kind and made sure everything went exactly how we wanted it to. He knew how to keep the party on the dance floor and was able to judge the guests reactions on what he should play next or if he should switch to a new song. In the end, I am glad our original DJ cancelled on us and I would highly recommend All Set Events!!

all night to let us know what was up next and we got so many compliments on the DJ! They also did a monogram on the dance floor for us which was perfect! We can't recommend All Set Events enough!

d played music that every single one of my guests enjoyed. The dance floor was full the entire night!

l of the various COVID guidelines we had to follow for our small wedding in KCMO. With their help, our guests didn't even notice the changes. It was the most fun, special day! Also, in case you're wondering, yes, you do need a DOC. 😉 Thanks, All Set Events!
