mony and cocktail hour followed by a 5 piece band for the reception. Jon was responsive and helpful leading up to the wedding, and even let us add a sax at the last minute. We, and our guests, loved Jon and the band and would recommend them in a heartbeat!
The greatest band you’ll ever need! These guys were so incredible and Jon was a pleasure to work with the entire time. Everyone that attended has commented just how amazing they we...
re and I truly cannot recommend them enough! They rocked it all day and night. From the reception to cocktail hour to ceremony, they were absolutely incredible and I wouldn’t have done our wedding any other way. Thank you Jon and co.!!
Jonny couldn't have been better! I hired him last minute to perform our wedding ceremony in Beaver Creek. When I contacted him, he told me that he already had plans to fly out the ...
day of my wedding to fly cross-country for a wedding the next day. Despite all that, he considered the possibility and ended up rearranging his flight (I paid for the flight difference), made it to our wedding, and to his wedding the next day in Michigan, all without a hitch!
We went off of Jonny's set list that he sent over ahead of time, but there was one song we really wanted that he didn't know ("First Day of my Life" by Bright Eyes), but lowe and behold, Jonny learned the song last minute and played it for us. That was really the icing on the cake that was our wedding, and I always remember that song and that special gift that was part of our wedding.
I had heard about Jonny through my sister, who had hired him and his band for her wedding about 12 years ago in Vail, and it was THE BEST. His band's set list was on point--everyone was dancing, and many people told me and my sister the next day that they felt like they were at a concert. It was so good.
Jonny is a true professional, and a kind soul. He--alone or with his band, either way--would be my go-to for any future event for which I needed musical talent.
5 stars all day!

ged, we knew we wanted to fly him out to Ohio for our wedding reception. Planning travel was easy and stress free. Everyone at our wedding loved him and we couldn’t have been happier with our decision.
We had a wonderful experience working with Johnny Mogambo band. Professional, fun, communicative and overall awesome!!!!
Jon and his band played our wedding in Telluride a couple weeks ago, and they were incredible. I think they're the best band I've ever seen at a wedding, and though I'm biased (it ...
was my own, after all), I haven't had a conversation with any friends/family since the wedding where Jon and band were not mentioned as being an absolute highlight. The main thing we asked of Jon was to create a party atmosphere with people glued to the dancefloor, and they absolutely delivered on that. Jon was great to work with and skillfully handled some special requests, among them: instrumentals at the ceremony and allowing my wife to secretly plan and sing a song with them during the reception. If you want to ensure your wedding is a blast with the band at the center of the fun, you cannot do better than Jon and team.
These guys rocked for us. Set list was amazing and they even learned our first dance, mother/groom, and father/bride songs as well. Could not be happier with them. 12/10

ed with us through the whole Covid wedding debacle with kindness and care. Then they played for our 2021 wedding celebration and they were incredible. Dance floor was full the whole time and people still ask me about them. Thank you, Jonny Mogambo Band!

d put on an amazing show that got all of our friends and family dancing all night long! Their band is very original in their presentation of songs and when they let that saxophone, keyboard or guitar player take some solos, they were simply amazing to hear. This was like being at a great concert! They were very professional to work with, on time and on point for everything involved with our party. Their experience with all things party related helped make our event run more smoothly. I recommend this band to anyone looking for a high energy musical experience that will give your party that extra edge that will make it unique to all your guests.
The Jonny Mogambo band was such a highlight of our wedding. They both DJed (during the reception and dinner) and played live music and executed both perfectly. Everyone in the band...

Played a mixed song list for all guests, not just classic wedding songs but went above and beyond with the song choices and REALLY engaging with the audience. All around just the best time and super amazing to work with! We will be going out of our way to find the next time they are playing and look forward to catching you guys again soon! THANK YOU!

we were taken care of throughout the whole process. They play an amazing list of diverse songs and even got people who "don't dance" out of their seats.
Couldn't have envisioned it any better and had almost every attendee tell us it was the most fun they have ever had at a wedding.
Hats off to Jonny and his band!
Jonny and his band were great! We had him and a keyboardist play during our cocktail hour and the full band play the reception. He also MC'd the reception which made everything run...
smoothly.
I'd give 5 stars, but there were specific songs from their song list we shared with him before the wedding that held meaning for my family, but they weren't able to play. With that said, this probably could've been solved with more clear communication.
Overall though, the dance floor was packed and band sounded great!
Jonny Mogambo Band was top notch! They are all incredible musicians who brought the energy and the party. Great song selection and set flow. Jon was easy to work with and flexible...
during the planning process as well as the event. I was able to sing my wife a song and we had a family jam with the band. What a blast! Definitely made our wedding even more memorable than it already was. I would highly recommend Jonny Mogambo band to anyone who wants to bring their wedding reception to the next level. Thanks again!

a review but I felt compelled to give him another one since he was that good. He listened to our vows and created our own song at the ceremony which was absolutely incredible and something we will never forget. He got everyone, young and old, dancing and on the dance floor. Thank you so much, Jonny! I’m going to hire you for my 40th!
Johnny and band were great! He gave us lots of options. We ended up doing acoustic for ceremony and cocktail hour, with 5 piece band— until they kicked us out! They have a large...
list of tunes, across all genres, so you can select from all your favorites. We got everything from CCR to Daft Punk, and a special home grown tune based of our vows :). Our friends and family all loved the music, and Johnny was super easy and accommodating to work with.. highly recommend!

had every guest gravitate towards the dance floor, if not to dance then to participate in the incredible ambiance that Jonny and his band was crafting throughout the night. Jonny flawlessly transitioned between musical genres to ensure that all guests stayed engaged and was able to put his own special touch on everything he and his band played. It made it seem like every song was uniquely composed just for us and our wedding. He was extremely accommodating to our requests for certain songs that held special meaning for us and even allowed me, the groom, to do a special performance with the band. He was so in tune with the flow of the party that there was never a moment when we felt like we needed to move things along, Jonny was always there to guide the guests to the next phase with always the perfect song selection. The dance party that occurred on our wedding night was one of the greatest that any of our guests had ever experienced. I cannot stress enough how important the music is for any party and with Jonny and his band, you can rest assured that your party will not lack in entertainment. I highly recommend his services for any occasion and always encourage you to seek him out at the many local venues he often plays at.

Jon was recommended to us by a good friend, and we're so grateful we hired his band. It was a huge load off of my shoulders to know that no matter what mishaps occurred during the ...
day, everyone would forget them in the rocking dance party. They did not disappoint! Jon's classic rock genre did a great job of getting everyone off their feet from Gen-Z to my 90-year old grandfather. Everyone had their favorite band member, but I think the sax player was the "favorite" favorite.
Jon's great to work with, too. He patiently worked with us through a few rounds of revisions & schedules until we were happy. These guys are total pros and you can script things out or just let them flow. At some point, I ran up to the stage and asked Jon to swap out lyrics mid-song, and he happily obliged. Seriously, hire them!! What are you waiting for?

We highly recommend booking them for your wedding - you will not be disappointed!

concerned that it might be awkward to have a band for a small wedding. Jon assured us that it would work and they delivered. He had us singing along at the cocktail hour and indulged our ridiculous request to play "Rock the Boat". We all agreed with Jon's comment that it was the most fun you could have with 24 people! They are talented musicians who know how to insure that your guests will have fun.

The whole band were terrific musicians including sax and the female vocalist on keyboards, and they definitely took our reception to the next level... I didn't think our group was going to be much for dancing, but Jonny and the band proved me wrong. We danced and sang and had a great party, didn't want it to end... Highly recommend them for your wedding or any private party!!

We booked his 9 piece band for our wedding, and we got several compliments and comments that ours was the most fun wedding they had been to. Whether you decide to book Jon or his full band, you can't go wrong. 5 stars is an understatement.

These guys rock.

mony and cocktail hour to the ROCKIN' party with the full band for the reception, they were unbelievable! They had EVERYONE of all ages on the dance floor the entire night with songs ranging from classic rock to pop to even rap covers (they played a classic rock version of Gin and Juice which made the bride VERY happy)! We have had so many friends and family members tell us it was the best wedding band they have ever heard, and had several future Colorado bride and grooms asking us for their information! On top of throwing a great party, Jon was incredibly responsive and easy to work with during the entire planning process. We could not recommend Jon and the Jonny Mogambo Band more, we are forever grateful that we chose them as the band for our special day!!!

nd play live before we hired them, but watched a lot of videos and got a pretty good idea of what we were getting. Still, going into the day (and having had my heart set on a different band that ended up not being available) I was a little nervous. But the entire night was perfect from the ceremony music to the cocktail hour to the reception everything was AMAZING. The band was terrific and really read the room and played funk all night to keep up with our dancing friends. I may be a little biased but my wedding was the most fun wedding I've ever been to in part because of our awesome band.
