We hosted a mixed American/Algerian wedding in Connecticut where our mostly American guests had no prior exposure to the Algerian music we wanted to have represented and the DJ we ...
had from Afrah did a fantastic job mixing the American early 2000s hits and Algerian wedding music we wanted played. All our guests had a great time and were so impressed with the music.
The on-site coordinator who came with the team, Waseem AKA Sam, was incredibly helpful and the surprise star of our wedding staff. Our officiant was an hour late which threw our entire timeline off for the evening and Sam managed the schedule for the rest of the night. He also helped to coordinate a surprise video we played before dinner with messages from family abroad who couldn’t attend in person, the whole night ran perfectly thanks to his coordination.
Lastly, we included a live violin player for our ceremony entrances and cocktail hour who was so immensely talented and made the evening so special. He took requests from my now-husband for some favorite songs and played perfectly.
Booking Afrah Events for our wedding was one of the highlights of our entire night. Eyad was wonderful to work with, was super responsive to feedback and ideas, and nailed exactly ...
the vision we were communicating to him. We had a mixed wedding, and not all of our guests were familiar with Lebanese and Egyptian culture, but the zaffe brought an incredible burst of energy that pulled everyone onto the dance floor and set the tone for the rest of the evening. It was a really meaningful way to share our heritage with our guests, and Eyad and his performers delivered it perfectly. We'd recommend them to any couple looking to add that energy and tradition to their celebration.
Very responsive, affordable and professional to walk with the broth happiness for all our guests and made our wedding very energetic from the very beginning!
Thank you Eyad and the...

We hired Afrah Events for our wedding this past June, working with Eyad to hire six of his team members to perform a dabke show. The performance was awesome, and all of our guests ...
were very entertained (especially the Lebanese ones)! However, the specific songs we worked with Eyad to select were never played, Eyad himself never attended, and the plan for the performance was totally disregarded. To elaborate, we requested a Lebanese dabke performance WITHOUT the bride and groom be put in the center... the plan was to have the performance and then a group dabke dance. While this isn’t traditional, it was something we discussed numerous times, as the groom was not comfortable dancing in the center. Again, the show was a lot of fun and the guests had no idea anything went wrong, but the groom was very upset.
My husband and I had a multicultural wedding – Lebanese and Latin – so we wanted to incorporate some traditional Lebanese dancing into our reception. We originally wanted drummers ...
for an entrance, but ultimately booked an after-dinner dance show & dabke dancing (4 dancers +2 drummers) after Eyad helped us think through what would be a better fit based on our reception timeline. They did an amazing job and our guests LOVED it! Eyad was great to work with – he was responsive, professional, and friendly throughout the entire process. He trained a new dance team for our wedding and checked in about the team’s progress a couple of months prior. He even offered to help us create the reception timeline since we were uncertain about a lot of it. Afrah Events was a great addition to our special day!
people are still talking about our wedding 3 weeks ago!! eyad and his team are the best ever and really went above and beyond to make our wedding day the best day of our lives!! fr...
