s fell short of our expectations, but the combination of poor communication, inconsistent commitments, lack of personal involvement from the owner, and pricing that did not feel justified by the final service. We would strongly encourage couples to carefully consider these issues and NOT choose to work with them. 1. Very poor communication: Before booking, Charmine, the owner of the business presented herself as experienced, passionate about her work, and encouraged us to reach out with questions. After we paid our deposit, however, she repeatedly ignored our messages and told us she was too busy to respond for two weeks, despite our wedding being only about a month away. 2. Inconsistent commitments: The contract required us to finalize the arrangements 30 days before our wedding. When we contacted Charmine with questions in early July, she told us she was too busy and could only respond after two weeks—which would have left us only two days before the contractual deadline to finalize everything. We therefore asked whether she could extend the deadline, and she agreed to extend it by 15 days. However, after she contacted us three days before the original deadline, she later reversed that agreement and claimed that the extension was no longer applicable simply because she had been able to contact us before the original deadline. When we reminded her of the extension she had explicitly agreed to, she refused to honor it and characterized our concerns as being "confrontational." 3. Lack of accountability and communication: Charmine repeatedly focused on defending herself rather than addressing our specific questions and concerns. For example, we contacted her three separate times regarding a change to the arch decorations, but received no response. After the two-week period during which she had said she was unavailable, she finally contacted us but appeared unaware of the change we had requested. Rather than acknowledging that our messages had gone unanswered, she blamed us for expecting her to show us the previous design, which was not what we had asked for. She also described her work as "art," which felt particularly ironic given that she did not personally appear at our wedding at all. We had expected to work with the person who had presented us with her experience, expertise, and creative vision, yet she was completely absent on the wedding day. 4. Pricing did not match the service received: Some services felt significantly overpriced relative to what was actually delivered. For example, we were charged $2.50 per flower cone, yet the cones prepared by her team ultimately contained only about five plain white flower petals each. 5. Credit to the on-site staff: We do want to acknowledge that the staff who actually came to our wedding were responsive, professional, and receptive to our feedback. When we pointed out issues, they made some changes immediately. We appreciate their efforts, even though several of the floral decorations were still not satisfactory. However, to our surprise, Charmaine still tried to contact us during our honeymoon complaining about us asking the staff to help moving some of the decorations, which should be their job. Honestly unbelieveable…

Her creativity, talent, attention to detail, and calm presence made the entire process so enjoyable. The flowers were absolutely breathtaking, and I can’t tell you how many compliments we received from our guests. Everyone kept saying how beautiful and amazing the arrangements were, and I couldn’t agree more. Not only is Charmaine incredibly talented, but she is also an absolute joy to work with. She truly cares about her clients and goes above and beyond to create something special and unforgettable. I would recommend her time and time again. From the intimate candle lit aisle with fresh long stem roses surrounding the room, to the elegant floral drapery on the fireplace behind our sweetheart table we were astounded. The creative ability and work ethic her and her team have is truly next to none. The decor for the ceremony was removed and reworked for the reception swiftly and effortlessly. All that to say, Charmaine and her team at Affections Floral are the clear choice for your events floral arrangements and decor.

y was she flexible, but she managed to blow us away with her team’s quick set up and rearranging of plans. The florals were absolutely stunning, too! We got more compliments on our bouquets than anything else on our wedding day. Florals were not something we cared too much about and truly didn’t have a vision - I gave Charmaine minimal to work with as I was clueless and she ran with it! From the centerpieces to the ferns at the altar, Charmaine could not have brought more beauty to our day if she tried. It was truly perfect and I would recommend her 10000x over. Plus, she has an amazing personality and is funny as hell! We loved working with her.

the conversation, Charmaine was energetic, kind, and so creative! I had zero vision of what I wanted except one type of flower and my colors. She goes through what your day and venue looks like (which she has probably done a wedding or event there before). After our first meeting, she had detailed ideas of how to decorate the church and reception. She is amazing at working within your budget as well. This isn’t even the most amazing part about Charmaine. She came in and without me needing to lift a finger transformed everything perfectly!! I was stunned into silence looking at her beautiful work. I also decided to rent center pieces from her which was amazing the day after for clean up. Her team does all of that so you don’t have to. She accented my day so perfectly and is such an amazing person to work with. I HIGHLY recommend her for any event and especially weddings!!!

I walked in for the first time! Every detail was absolutely stunning! I am so excited to have her do my wedding and would recommend her and her staff to anyone!

above and beyond for my wedding. Seriously, I can’t say enough great things about working with Charmaine for my wedding. Charmaine was an amazing partner from day one of working together and she helped my wedding vision come true. She has an UNMATCHED attention to detail and she was literally obsessed with getting it right. Not to mention, she is also hilarious and is so fun to work with. As far as decor goes, my wedding day was completely stress-free as I knew that if Charmaine (and her son, who is also AWESOME) were on it, they would make sure everything was done perfectly. She seriously went above and beyond and even made sure my reception tables were positioned perfectly and everything was set up perfectly. Most florists just drop off the items and hope the venue sets it up correctly, but not Charmaine. She was there hours early to make sure everything was literally perfect. I didn’t even double check anything or worry about my decor at all on my wedding day because I trusted her 100% after working with her over the months and weeks leading up to my wedding. Thanks to Charmaine, I didn’t have to hire any other vendors for decor, she pretty much handled everything from the flowers (of course) to other details like card, box, tables, signs, table runners, etc.. Throughout the whole planning process, she was extremely communicative and was able to answer my calls and texts super quickly, and give me advice on not only just flowers but other aspects of my wedding in general. I had interviewed other florists in the area and they did not bring even an ounce of the excitement and commitment that Charmaine does. Like I said earlier, she was a true partner and I felt like she was personally invested in my wedding being amazing. Another great thing about Charmaine is that she only works on weddings so you won’t find that she’s busy with other things like Mother’s Day, Valentine’s Day, etc. Her commitment to her clients is incredible and she was the best vendor on my team by far. I’m so grateful that I got to work with Charmaine, and she made a HUGE difference in reducing stress leading up to my wedding and on the day itself. If you want a true partner who will understand your wedding day vision and work with you to make it happen, Charmaine is your best choice. THANK YOU CHARMAINE!!
