Lisa was absolutely wonderful to work with! We got married at the Amelita Mirolo Barn, and she and her crew did an amazing job making the venue beautiful with all the linens and st...
ring lights hanging over the rafters. She was quick to assist when we needed her and helped us fulfill our perfect wedding vision!
We worked with Lisa (owner and decorator) for our Wedding Day Decor from the church ceremony venue and the reception. I loved how the ceremony venue looked that day - she scouted f...
or a good florist to make it happen. For the reception venue, everything was according to plan except the 7foot tall dried tree that we ordered from her. We indicated in our floor plan that we wanted it to be behind the sweetheart table - but to our surprise it was placed on the other side of the room. It was the highlight decor - so it was important to us. It was too late to move the decor because the guests were already in there. Also, since our wedding was rustic winter themed - we talked about having dried twigs with snow decor in it. I didn't expect that the snow decor material will be lumped cotton balls though, especially for the price of the decor in general.
So for future clients - I think it is better to check for the materials used like 2 weeks or 1 week before the wedding so there will be no surprises - if this is possible. Lisa can also improve on the overall customer experience. Sometimes when we drop an email - we would think that she is always in a hurry and doesn't have the time to reply to us. Other times, we wouldn't get the information that we needed without asking her multiple times.
On the upside, Lisa was so kind to help us set up some of paper goods and favors that we brought ourselves for the wedding!
We rented some lit trees and table skirting from them. It was super easy to coordinate and reasonably priced, and exactly what we asked for!
Lisa created a beautiful ambiance for my November 2018 wedding at Amelita Mirolo Barn with taupe fabric sweeps and cafe lights. Her work truly enhanced the venue and created the r...
omantic, cozy atmosphere I was looking to achieve.
Lisa was very easy to work with throughout the planning process, quickly responding to emails and being more than willing to meet with me & speak over the phone.
If you need to enhance the "wow" factor through decor at your venue (which I feel is one of the most important elements), I highly recommend Advantage Events!
I highly recommend working with Lisa. I was planning a wedding from a different state, but Lisa worked with me to put together the pieces that we wanted. Lisa helped us turn our sm...
all Student Union into a lovely wedding venue. We never actually had the chance to meet in person, which just goes to show that she was able to help us put together this flawless decoration without ever needing to follow up. Highly recommended!
Lisa did such a great job with decorating my venue! I didn't have specifics for what I wanted done but more of a general idea when we first met, and she showed me multiple options ...
of her work in the past and we narrowed down what would look best. She was creative and had great insight, but not pushy in any way. When there were a few changes I wanted closer to the wedding, she was easy to reach and very flexible. I highly recommend her, my venue would never have looked so good without all of her hard work!
Lisa was very easy to work with! We rented a backdrop and ceiling swag. She set up the decorations before we arrived to complete our portion of the decorating. It was affordable an...
d stress-free. It perfectly matched my vision!
Advantage Events provided the dramatic decor I wanted to finish off the barn my wedding reception was held. The decorating crew bravely draped 6 curtains from a beam about 20 feet ...
above the floor and hung a gorgeous chandelier in the center of the beam and wrapped posts with lights. It was spectacular. They also hung drapery around loft doors to frame my dessert table. The final effect made the space magical. Some of my guests even cried when they saw how beautiful the space was. The venue attendant said that the decor was the best they ever saw in the barn. I am so pleased with Advantage Events from my meeting with Lisa to the professionals who put up the decor. They came to the venue on time and worked so hard to make the space perfect.
Advantage Events provided beautiful lighting for our son and daughter-in-laws wedding. Cafe lights and chandeliers provided an added layer of elegance to a beautiful rustic venue....
We received a lot of compliments on the beautiful lighting even from other vendors we used that day.
Lisa and her staff are absolutely wonderful. She had all of the decorations I was looking for plus more! She was very accommodating and helpful throughout our planning process and ...
it was so nice knowing everything would be set before we got there so I didn't have to do a lot of decorating in the morning. I would highly recommend using Lisa and her team at Advantage Events!
Lisa was very easy to work with and get concepts from. She provided decor for both the ceremony and reception. both were wonderful!
My daughter got married at the Greek Annunciation Cathedral on 5-13-17 and her reception was also held there. Advantage Events was recommended to us and we scheduled an appointment...
with Lisa. The appointment went very well. We only used them to do drapery over the air wall, bar and stage. We also used lighting. I wasn't sure how everything was going to pull together but all was beautiful. All night we heard nothing but wonderful comments. What impressed me the most and not ever doing before, is how everything was going to pull together and completed timely. I arrived on wedding day at 9:30 a.m. and all was done. Then at the end of the reception and not even noticing them there, they had everything torn down and gone in no time.
Thank you. The drapery and lighting made the room complete and wedding was absolutely beautiful!!
We had a great experience with Lisa. She is amazing at what she does and made our wedding look absolutely beautiful!
We got married April 1, 2017. Lisa, was great to work with. We told her what we wanted, she made suggestions, and the day of the wedding everything was exactly as we discussed. We...

The backdrop and centerpieces were beautiful and reasonably priced. However, the ceiling lights, only half of the were working about half of the time which was kind of a disappoint...
ment, but our wedding was beautiful, Lisa is very nice, and compared to other decorators, her prices are very fair.
Advantage Events was great!! Lisa worked with me TWO weeks before my wedding to make my reception look beautiful and perfect! I had an image and she made it come to life. Thank you...
, thank you, thank you! We got so many compliments and it was gorgeous! Not only did she get me in the last minute but she also rearranged her schedule to make sure she was able to come set up the night before and tear down after the wedding. Thank you SO much, Lisa!!! I will recommend friends, family & strangers to you!
Great decor options to pick from and very affordable. Took care of all set up and tear down of the items we rented. Everything turned out how we expected.
Lisa was wonderful! My daughter's wedding was at the Amelita Mirolo Barn on May 29. Lisa hung beautiful string lights over the tables and also in the old barn used for the dance fl...
oor. The lights added a beautiful touch to a beautiful building. She also set up our cake table, candy bar and all the other decorations. She helped set up items we had brought of our own and did a wonderful job. She made it easy for me to spend time with my daughter and not have to worry about decorating. I would recommend hiring her for your event.
I tried to call Lisa about setting up for my event. She was VERY rude. The woman who gave me her name even said, "She seems a little frantic and disorganized. She's not the greates...
t I just told her what do to and paid and didn't talk to her again." Her prices are 3 times what it would cost me to do myself. Totally turned off!
The decor for our big day was stunning, however the weeks leading up to it were not so much. The vendor was disorganized and never had an answer to my questions. I was the liaison ...
between her and the caterer, and when I asked specific questions that the caterer needed to know about decor, I was mocked "well why would the caterer need to know this"... Etc. our night looked amazing, but I'd pass due to the poor attitude and lack of organization.
Lisa was just awesome to work with. I had to call her about a month out from the wedding to add some more drapery and she said no problem, we can do that! When I walked into the...
venue the morning of the wedding and saw the beautiful sweep, lighting and drapery...the tears started to flow. Lisa really helped make the venue a beautiful and elegant place for our daughter's wedding! I highly recommend Lisa!

meet me at the venue months ahead of time, to make sure everything would be perfect. Hire Lisa...she will make your wedding venue spectacular!
Working with Lisa was amazing. She was able to help us decorate both the tent that we had rented and the 30'x50' pole barn where we were having our cocktail hour and dancing.
We...
went for simple in the tent, just cafe lights, a chandelier, and small backdrop for the head table. In the pole barn, we had white curtains to hide the aluminum siding and shelving units/workbenches. She also put up swooshes in purple and orange (our wedding colors). We had also bought purple and orange LED Chinese lanterns which she expertly hung from the ceiling also.
On top of that she was more than willing to help when we had a small issue with the tent (which was not what we had ordered). Absolutely fantastic to work with!
Lisa was amazing, she was very quick and responsive to every question I had to ask her. I had Lisa come out to my venue to setup a backdrop with a chandelier. She also decorated wi...
th cafe lights (rapped them around tall beams). Her decor is so beautiful I wish I could have used it all, she helped add that extra glamour to my wedding!
