This DJ was not what we anticipated. I don't know if this is normal practice, but any of the songs that we requested that he didn't have, I had to buy and send him the MP3's. I u...nderstand the request to do this if it's an obscure first dance song or something, but for currently popular hits? We provided him with a specific list of introductions and the song to play while our bridal party was entering the reception. Not only was this not played as they were coming in (so it was less than exciting and awkward without music), but he started the song when we (bride and groom) got onto the dance floor and then continued to play it until we had to tell him to stop...it was a fast song, so it was quite awkward to be "fast-dancing" in front of 100 people. The quality of our first dance song, arguably the most important song of the night, for some reason sounded like it was underwater on his speakers. There were other issues too, but suffice it to say that the DJ created a lot of work for us and uncomfortable moments with minimal payback in performance.
