About this vendor
Celebrate the beginning of your history together at the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum, voted Planner's Choice for Weddings in the 2024 Unique Venues Planner's Choice Awards.
We offer venues for wedding ceremonies in the Presidential Library. The Lincoln Atrium accommodates up to 150 guests for a ceremony, and the Lincoln Reception Room accommodates up to 60 guests.
For wedding receptions, the magnificent Museum Plaza is a beautiful venue for dinners for up to 250 guests while leaving room for a dance floor and small entertainment space. The wedding couple may even be introduced from the White House (replica).
The Library has more intimate spaces for smaller celebration or may be rented for a cocktail reception prior to dinner and dancing at the Museum.
Union Station, a restored former passenger train station on our campus, is an ideal venue for rehearsal dinners or small wedding celebrations.
NEW: the recently redesigned park on the ALPLM campus, Union Square Park, is a new venue for events including wedding ceremonies and wedding receptions. Union Station is included with a rental of Union Square Park.
We accept reservations two years in advance and we provide thoughtful planning and customer service so the wedding couple, their family and friends may enjoy their wedding celebration. The client chooses the exhibits, theater presentations, and evening event enhancements to include in their reception at the Museum.

This was THE BEST place for a wedding reception! Following our daughter's wedding ceremony at the church, we had cocktails in the ALPLM library. Afterwards, we went into the bea...
utiful museum for the wedding reception. Our guests were delighted by the unique experience. And everything was lovely. The museum staff was professional, organized, followed through with everything, and also ... kind. We made a great decision to use the museum for our event.
We just had our wedding here and it went awesome. Their event director, Britta, was there for us every step of the way, always providing clear information and expectations. This ma...
de our evening go without a hitch! It was a fantastic venue which kept our guests busy the entire night. Everyone really enjoyed having the exhibits open and the plaza is simply stunning. There is definite wow factor in this venue! We only had about 75 guests and it felt like the perfect size for us, although the space could easily hold more. Overall, I highly recommend working with the Museum.
I did not use this for my wedding.
The Lincoln Presidential Museum is a beautiful venue for an event. With the dramatic exhibits and building design, a lot of decor and lighting isn't necessary. The staff was extr...
emely helpful leading up to the reception and at the event. Some vendors complain of the tight rules and restrictions at the museum (limited set up and tear down time, etc), but I didn't find there to be any problems. If anything, the rules seem to keep everything together & ensure things go according to plan. Guests loved being able to tour the exhibits, and many commented on the new couple's grand entrance through the White House. We used the museum's caterer also and were not disappointed. No complaints!
the place is nice, but it's not really what I expected.
Couldnt get any better than this!!!!
