does she think of anything but she offers an array of services that go beyond just catering. She is a seasoned pro and worth every cent. Always making herself available to listen to the smallest concerns. Do not hesitate to book her as she is true to her name sake and goes above and beyond!!

pt commenting to us how good the food was. Many asked for the caterer’s name . Jill was also a pleasure to work with and made sure everything was perfect. I would definitely use her again. Can’t say enough about it!

n making our wedding unforgettable. She went far beyond what we ever expected from a catering company, offering thoughtful suggestions, anticipating our needs, and ensuring every detail was executed flawlessly. The food was absolutely outstanding and beautifully presented. The chocolate lava cake was out of this world. Our guests are still raving about how delicious everything was (and many commented it was the best food they’ve ever had at a wedding!). Every course was fresh, creative, and meticulously prepared, showing the care and passion Jill and her team put into their work. If you’re looking for a kosher wedding caterer who delivers exceptional service, exquisite food, and a personal touch that truly makes you feel taken care of, look no further than Above and Beyond. They live up to their name in every way!

cracks! As someone planning my own wedding, Jill's insight and advice was invaluable; so, too, was the graceful way in which she interacts with other vendors and the venue. We heard nothing but praise from our venue and our guests loved the food and plating. It was such a lovely feeling to arrive to our wedding knowing we were in such good hands and could just be in the moment! The food was wonderful and Jill listened to our requests when finalizing our menu. We are already recommending Above and Beyond to our closest friend and would recommend to you, whomever you are!

e. And we truly couldn’t have done it without Jill—she helped with both the food and the innumerable aspects of planning. Truly the best :)

fectly reflected our requests. She worked seamlessly with our other vendors and paid attention to details beyond the scope of food and drink and was always responsive to our concerns. We are so very thankful to Jill and her staff and would recommend them without reservation.

some many wonderful appetizers to choose from, and Jill was always flexible if they wanted to change a few things. Everyone loved the variety and most of all it was delicious. Working with Jill was such a delight, she made it look so easy, which we all know is an art. Thank you Jill!

ed, but she makes the experience so enjoyable! We have had the privilege of seeing Jill’s work multiple times (within our family) before our own wedding. It was a dream come true to have Jill cater our wedding as well (April 2025)! Our wedding was filled with guests from all different backgrounds but one thing that everyone came back to tell us was how great the food was! Jill takes kosher catering to the next level! As soon as we met with Jill for ourselves, we knew we had nothing to worry about! She worked with our banquet coordinator (at a venue she hadn’t previously worked at) and was praised with the highest regard by the staff there as well! Jill also makes sure that any Jewish traditions are running smoothly and makes sure that all religious articles are kept safe throughout the night! We 100% recommend Above and Beyond Catering! We know you will feel what we did! We love Jill and her team! Thank you for making the wedding of our dreams come to life!

entire process seamless and stress-free. On our wedding day, I was able to enjoy every minute, as the execution was flawless. The food was creative, delicious and beautifully presented. Many guests had no idea it was kosher! The event team was also fabulous and attentive to my guests and their requests. It was the perfect day, and I highly recommend Above & Beyond for your celebration.

planning process. We didn’t even need a wedding planner, as she made everything flow seamlessly—from our initial discussions right up to the day of the event. Jill’s calm and professional demeanor was especially impressive; when unexpected rain threatened our outdoor ceremony, Jill found a perfect window of dry weather, ensuring we still had the moment the bride dreamed of. The food and cocktails were as creative as they were beautifully presented. Every detail, from flavor to plating, was so well thought out – I wish I could have enjoyed the meal as a guest! Jill’s ability to bring together elegance, creativity, and professionalism is rare, and we couldn't be more grateful for the unforgettable experience she helped create for our family.

re clear and there was no surprises. During our food tasting we had car trouble and she went up to pick us up! Talk about above and beyond right? I couldn’t recommend her any more, you can’t do better than this catering service.

tory of us, with tables representing our favorite date night spots and favorite cuisines to cook. Jill was open to all our ideas and really had things running smoothly. If we were doing it all over again, we would not even hesitate for a second to have Above and Beyond.

e and beyond just catering with creating the timeline of our wedding day, ensuring every detail was accounted for and providing endless support. I could not recommend her more!

The whole process from initial contact to the wedding was flawless. Above and Beyond had by far the most reasonable prices matched with the best service.

food was absolutely delicious - we had multiple guests say it was the best wedding food they've ever had. Thank you, Above and Beyond, for making my wedding day a huge success!

ive and open to be customized for what we wanted. Our guests told us they were so full from eating everything during the cocktail hour that they didn’t have room for dinner, then cleaned their plates of Short Ribs anyway. They made fresh smores on the dance floor for us! The pareve milkshakes were unreal and the fried Oreos were insane. Book Above and Beyond and thank yourself later. Truly spectacular!

n of partnering with Jill Lamstein, owner of Above and Beyond Catering: a Shabbat dinner for nearly 60 people at our home, and the wedding event for 160 at the Hudson House two days later. Jill proved to be much more than just a caterer of food, assisting us with party rentals, floor plans and more. Here is an excerpt from a note I sent to Jill expressing our deep appreciation for her work: “[My husband] and I are ever grateful for having you as a partner throughout the planning and implementation phases of [our daughter’s and her fiance’s] wedding. Your invaluable assistance and availability, your cheerful disposition, the love with which you approach your work, your knowledge and skill, your approachability, your cooperative working relationship with other vendors made it a truly easy partnership, compatible in every way with our needs. All of these attributes were reflected in your staff, both on Erev Shabbat at our home and on Sunday, 8/20/2023, at the Hudson House. Everything was as expected, plus some. On both occasions, the food choices we were offered were both wonderful and surprising; the food at the events was absolutely delicious; the presentations lovely; the staff and service excellent, friendly and efficient. Your abilities went beyond just catering the food. We are very thankful to have found you.”

with. and food was incredible. the guests raved! We had to decide last minute about how to set up due to weather, and her calmness put us all at ease. I would 100% recommend Jill and Above and Beyond.

& Beyond Catering was beyond a real pleasure. I keep hearing from guests at the wedding that the food was absolutely delicious. I couldn't agree more. I highly recommend !

le!! the Mac and cheese balls were especially wonderful. Jill also helped us run through the day and met with the venue with us, and helped us ask all the right questions. Would recommend!!

ed us execute it and BEYOND, up until the very last minute of our wedding. We would recommend Jill for any occasion!

ver. We had soooo many guests approach us to tell us how good the food was. Jill catered our Shabbat before the wedding, and everything was delicious. All the food was so well balanced, healthy, and the paerve desserts were outstanding!! Would recommend Above & Beyond to anyone. 10/10!!!

le, delicious and presented beautifully. Her staff was awesome. From the first day I reached out to Jill, she has been a pleasure to work with. Her professionalism, her quick response to phone calls, emails, texts, her amazing suggestions and her problem solving all helped make planning for the day a breeze. She treated me like I was family and made sure everything, not just the food, was perfect, and I will always be grateful for that. I can't recommend her enough and I look forward to using her again. Everything was truly "Above and Beyond".

acted as a day-of coordinator and everything was seamless. She worked calmly and professionally behind the scenes with all vendors to keep the day flowing. I didn’t worry about anything that day and it all worked out perfectly. We had a lounge-like vision for the party: no assigned seats, a mix of table sizes, and a buffet of tapas style plates that would get people moving around the space. Jill made this happen and it felt seamless - she was endlessly positive and full of ideas and solutions to make the event feel festive, COVID-safe, and flowing. No one ever had to wait in line for drinks - bars were plentiful and well run. My husband and I sat at a small table together which she thoughtfully prepared ahead of time with a full array of food so we actually got to eat a little that evening! I HIGHLY recommend Jill and her team and hope to attend more of her events in the future!

incredibly flexible and made sure our vision came true while also making sure everyone was comfortable. She was easy and wonderful to work with. My husband and I chose a venue that was less familiar with the beats of a Jewish wedding but Jill made sure everything ran smoothly. Of course — these were all cherries on top and the FOOD was the main event. We’re still fielding compliments about the shmorg and dinner and only wish we got to enjoy more during our special day! Everything was beautifully presented, delicious, and so creative! Jill also went off menu to create my husband’s favorite dish as an entree. We were all thrilled and cannot recommend Above & Beyond highly enough!!

ears of experience. She made excellent recommendations and did so much more than she had to for us. Her efforts did not go unnoticed. We are very impressed with Above & Beyond. The menu selections were creative and unique. The appetizers and entrees were plated beautifully and the food was incredible! Our guests were raving about the food. We opted for the passed desserts. They were wonderful and so cute! The service and staff were also a pleasure! I have only great things to say about A+B. We anticipate more events in our future where we will have them cater again. Thank you again, Jill!

vegan wedding, but afterward everyone kept saying that they were blown away by the food. I’m so glad we decided to use Above and Beyond for our special day - I can’t imagine what the wedding would have been like without them!

delicious and surpassed all of my ideas of kosher catering! Our guests are still talking about the wedding food months later! Jill is a strong project manager and is a pleasure to work with. I highly recommend!

sband didn't know any of the kosher caterers in NYC. Jill was one of the only kosher caterers who let us do a tasting even before we signed her and her food was incredible! Her attention to detail as well as the quality of food she uses made our wedding amazing! People couldn't stop talking about the food (my dad is still drooling over the short ribs that we had as an entree). Even the dessert was tasty and creative (the smores cart is a must!)! Plus Jill was so wonderful, she made our dreams come true and made us a hot dog cart for late night food inside our venue!! Everything was delicious and beautiful!! I only wish I ate more at my wedding!!

ven matched the colors at the food tasting to our wedding colors! Each detail was planned meticulously. She worked closely with our venue to ensure that each detail was carefully addressed. The food was incredible. When I asked some friends about their favorite bite, each had a different answer, highlighting the range of flavors Jill could capture throughout one event (my personal favorite was the tuna tartare cone). Jill has become family. Also--I have no idea how she gets pareve desserts to taste so good!!! I strongly recommend her without a single hesitation.

ll Lamstein and her staff are amazing, warm, enthusiastic and very helpful throughout the the entire planning process and our very special day. When we planned our daughter's wedding at the Lighthouse, we were told, "Go to Jill. She's amazing!" Jill and her staff are amazing not only for the wonderful food and service but also for their warmth, enthusiasm and guidance ghroughtout the entire planning process. Above and Beyond Catering added a very special touch to our very special day. Ruthe and Ronald Golden Great Neck, New York

r and her staff were amazingly talented in every aspect. The food was GREAT!!!!The creativity was amazing and the positive energy and smiles continued to surround all that were at the wedding. Jill has become part of our family. Our hearts are filled with gratitude ! Every meal was delicious, every staff member was enjoying their job. Above &Beyond with no doubt will be the caterer for all our future smachot!

"top-rated" kosher caterers in the NY/NJ area. After personal interviews with many caterers and subsequent tastings with several, and a great deal of research, we chose Above and Beyond. There was no comparison. Jill's ability to understand exactly what the bride wanted and the manner in which it was to be executed was amazing. The personal touches, the confidence and professionalism in addressing each detail, both by her and her staff, was extraordinary. The presentation was elegant and the food was beyond anything we could have imagined. We continue to receive raves including how the fish option was the best fish our guests had ever eaten, that the vegetarian option was mouth watering and how the meat option exceeded meat lovers expectations. Nothing was left to chance. The caterer's ability to work with the other vendors (tent, musicians, florist, photographer) was beyond reproach and each vendor had wonderful praises of Above and Beyond, as well as Jill and Jonathan personally, something that is not often the case. Jill and Above and Beyond Catering was instrumental in making this wedding come together and for it to be a beautiful, once in a lifetime, experience. Her hard work, long hours and unending patience and professionalism, extraordinary food, and attention to detail, made this the most amazing experience and truly a magical night for everyone.

ery step of the way helping us plan and tweaking the menu. They were truly a pleasure to work with!
