I wish I had chosen a different catering company for my wedding. In hindsight, I should have been wary of a website filled with stock images instead of photos of their actual work....
I left 2 stars because not everything was bad.
However, the food was lackluster and disappointing. The “chef’s collection of assorted canapés” turned out to be Ritz crackers with cream cheese and a tiny slice of salmon. The presentation fell completely flat and looked nothing like what you’d expect from a wedding caterer.
Even worse, the herb roasted chicken was severely overcooked, rubbery and essentially inedible. The menu wording makes everything sound handmade and elevated, but the “Fresh Baked Dinner Breads with Sweet Churned Butter” were simply torn pieces of bagged Hawaiian rolls with butter packets.
For the price, the quality was extremely disappointing. To make matters worse, attempts to raise concerns after the event have gone unanswered. I strongly recommend looking elsewhere for a trustworthy, communicative caterer who delivers the quality their menu suggests!
The food was really yummy but execution of what was written in our contract was not all that we received. The contract stated sourdough rolls but slices were provided. This is a sm...
all thing easy to over look but there was only about 1/3 of the agreed upon and paid for amount of desserts, which left many guests without desserts. We the couple would not have gotten any except our amazing planner pulled us a plate. The catering staff was also rude to a guest when she asked for a utensil from the venues kitchen. Communication prior to the wedding it was very hard to get information out of them as they responded in short words or sentences. After most communication you the couple had to constantly reach out to get follow up information. We also used them for bartending, the lady was so nice, fun and great at her job! While the food tasted good I would likely recommend another vendor for your food.
The caterers were fantastic!! The food was absolutely delicious and they made sure to set food aside for my husband and I so we could have a little of everything and didn’t miss ou...
t since we did a buffet. They kept us very in the loop with everything every step of the way. They were kind enough to even help restock our donut wall even though we brought the donuts from another small shop! The bartender made amazing drinks all night and even went out of his way to go through the stuff they’d already packed up to get my husband a wine bottle opener! All in all, we had an amazing experience both with the people and the food!
We utilized A Silverware Affair for my daughter's wedding in May 2025. Loved them, their service and food! They came recommended by our venue staff, Clisby Pines, and I saw their...
reviews on The Knot and felt safe hiring them. I could not have been more pleased. We also used one of their bartenders! Everyone we worked with was fantastic. I left at in depth review of dishes we had at the event on Google. Check that review out as well! Thank you Shirley, Levi, Katie and Courtney! My guests are still raving about how great your food was! Michelle
Great company. I didn't have to worry about timelines, cleanliness, anything. Set up was perfect and everyone loved the food.
My husband and I were thrilled with the level of service and attention to detail Levi and Shirley and their teams gave to us for our wedding. We had a seated dinner with an open ba...
r, real glassware, silverware and place settings. From the very beginning, the menu planning, logistics, and communication went seamlessly. Levi worked with us every step of the way to make sure our event came off perfectly. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. All of our vegetarian guests were cared for, and the hor d’oeuvres for our cocktail hour were special. Levi’s team was one of the few we called in Chattanooga who could handle a seated dinner for 80 at an outdoor venue. Thank you, A Silverware Affair for helping us have one of the best nights of our lives! I highly recommend A Silverware Affair for any special event catering in Chattanooga.
A Silverware Affair catered our wedding and were kind, professional and extremely responsive to our requests as we were building our menu. The food was also terrific! My father-in-...
law frequently mentions how great the brisket was, and the hors d'oeuvres were perfect in advance of the buffet, which was divine. Levi was a pleasure to work with and made sure to catch up with us at the end of the evening. They packed everything up for us to enjoy on our honeymoon too! Highly recommended.
Levi is excellent at communication! He was on top of it! He helped us put together our appetizers and buffet menu, and walked us through the selection of dishes, napkins, silverwar...
e, etc. His bartenders even let us bring a frozen drink machine (rented through another company). The food was pretty good for catering food - we didn't get to eat too much as bride and groom, but we heard mostly good things!

had table set salad & bread, a carving station, and a buffet for sides. Everything paired perfectly! They were also very professional and willing to help with everything. The company I rented tablecloths from gave me the wrong size for a few tables and A Silverware Affair was quick to help us out and let us borrow their own right away. Exceeded all expectations!!

ice was great on the day of our wedding, and they thoughtfully set aside to-go boxes for my bride and myself, just in case we didn't have time to eat. A big thanks to Silverware Affair for going the extra mile!!!

and they offered me lots of ideas and were so helpful. Every staff person I met was so nice and they seemed to genuinely care about everything, even the silly little things. I felt so comfortable with them, I knew it would be wonderful. The day came and the caterers, of all people, were the ones helping us get down the aisle, helping with my sister's dress, going so far above what they were supposed to do, it was amazing. Everything was WAY better than we had hoped for and it exceeded my every expectation. All of my guests still talk about the food! I loved working with this vendor and will recommend them to anyone!!!

We rented all our linens, tables, and chairs from them as well- it was great to have everything delivered, set up, and packed up without having to worry about a thing! re Affair was much more than that. Their team is amazing. We had rented tables, chairs, place settings etc. and hired them to setup the room with rented items and flowers. When they were done with the room it looked better than I had imagined. The buffet that they setup was decorated beautifully. I had made suggestions of how I wanted the room set up. They made some adjustments when they got there which was much better than my original plan. They were on top of everything. If a guest had spilled something before you knew it someone on their staff was cleaning it up. They made the day run so smoothly. Do not think twice about hiring them!

o hidden fees, everything wasn't an add-on...it was all very up front and clear and easy to understand. Our crew arrived early and even helped with details they weren't supposed to when they were finished and ready for our reception. Then they had our venue cleaned up within 40 minutes after the reception was over. We told them we wanted "Southern Gourmet" and they knew exactly what to do! The staff the evening of the reception were great. The bartenders and waiters were professional - and we even got them to handle all of our alcohol which was a blessing because they have the license to do that (we couldnt find anyone else who did) so we didn't have to run around all day dealing with that!
Our wedding day was so beautiful and we cant thank A Silverware Affair enough for all of their hard work over the past year in helping us achieve exactly what we wanted! Our guests...

mazing! Many of our wedding guests raved about the food, and my now-husband and I could not have been more pleased with how everything went. Tara, Laura, Shirley, and the rest of the crew were all such a pleasure to work with, and they were always available to answer any questions I had or anything I needed to update on my contract with them. They even recommended other local vendors to me as I needed some help finding a florist, photographer, etc. I really cannot say enough fantastic things about A Silverware Affair and will most definitely recommend them to anyone and everyone I know who is getting married! You seriously will not be disappointed if you hire them to cater your wedding; I am so grateful that I had them at mine!

t lovely! They were also extremely flexible. We changed the menu and the colors a couple of times, and they didn't even flinch. They are true professionals too. It rained on my wedding day. And we had planned an outdoor ceremony. At the last minute, we had to change the entire setup. And they jumped right in. The food was good too (what I ate of it lol). And everyone commented on how they liked the food and had plenty to eat. All in all, I'd have to say, I don't think you can miss with these guys.
