About this vendor
Hey, I'm Joe!
My focus is singular — to celebrate your wedding as if it were my very own. I keep things simple and straightforward so you can focus on the most important part of it all — marrying your partner, soulmate and best friend.
As a homegrown, native NYC-based wedding DJ, I allow the music to speak for itself in a way that is organic and authentic. With an elegant & refined approach, I accommodate all eclectic flavors and curate a tasteful wedding celebration based on your musical preferences.
What you won’t get? A stereotypical, cheesy DJ stealing the spotlight and breaking up the music with bad jokes and unnecessary interruptions. You deserve better.
Expect a personal and individualized celebration with great music, precise attention to detail and a fun-filled dance party — all based on 15 years of wedding experience.
I look forward to getting to know you and what's most important to you.
Thanks for stopping by.
Joe

njoyed the evening. Us included! Certainly recommend!
We enthusiastically recommend DJ Joe! He transformed our Brooklyn warehouse wedding into the dance party of the year. He worked closely with us to bring our vision to life and read...
the room perfectly. He was very easy to work with and always professional. His entire process was well thought out and ensured we got what we were looking for. Everyone had a blast and can’t stop talking about the music. Highly recommend!
Joe did a great job. We gave him a list of songs with no particular order to them and his "track listing" throughout the night was perfect. He always knew which song to play at t...
he right moment. He was also prompt, extremely professional, and most of all, incredibly kind to work with. Our phone conversations with him before the wedding felt like we hired a friend instead of a stranger for the night of. He's gonna be our DJ anytime we need as we build our family.
Joe DJed our wedding and we couldn’t have been happier with the experience. Joe did our ceremony, cocktail hour and reception. Based off of a playlist we created, he curated an exc...
ellent playlist through the entire ceremony and reception that had the dance floor packed the entire night. Our wedding was a month ago and people are still raving about how amazing the music was. He handled awkward situations flawlessly and was incredibly flexible. What was really apparent was that Joe was genuinely happy to be there and honored to be a part of the wedding. He’s an awesome DJ and a really great person. We will recommend him to everyone we know!
Joe was somehow available to work with us at the last second! He was so helpful and kept things simple and classy the way that we wanted.
Joe is the BEST. He was exactly the kind of low-maintence, no fireworks DJ we wanted. We cared about good music without the bells and whistles and he was amazing down to the last d...
etail. He even made sure my husband and I had drinks all night! Would recommend for everything, always!
Joe is one of the kindest, organized, personable people I have ever met. He was not only a FANTASTIC DJ, but you could tell he cared deeply that your day was special. His attenti...
on to detail was beyond what we could have asked for! Joe went above and beyond to get us instrumentalists to accompany him at the wedding making our dream come true! I would use him again in a heart beat!
Joe was the perfect wedding DJ for us! He had everyone dancing -- so much that we deviated from the planned schedule to add more dancing (which might have stressed me out if Joe we...
ren't so clearly sure of what he was doing and everyone wasn't clearly having such a great time). Many of our guests commented on how much they loved the music! The process was also extremely simple: we filled out a spreadsheet with some questions about what we wanted, provided lists of songs we'd especially like to hear, and he made it all work. We didn't even meet before the wedding, just talked on the phone, yet he pulled it off perfectly. We wanted minimal DJ announcements and he also respected that, while chiming in just enough to ensure the flow of the party when needed.
Joe was recommended by two of my closest friends and we could not be happier we took their advice. He really is AMAZING at what he does. Joe had everyone out on the dance floor a...
ll night long! During dinner he played our friends wedding song (which he was the DJ of) and I honestly couldn’t have thought of a sweeter gesture. Our reception was an absolute blast because of DJ Joe!
We hired Joe for our wedding this past September and it was the best decision I've made! When we were selecting wedding vendors I had the most difficult time when it came to the DJ...
. I spoke with several others and it just never felt right... till I reached out to Joe. From that first call I just felt like it clicked and he made us feel at ease throughout the entire planning process. He is attentive, professional and easy to talk to. We gave him a list of songs we liked and he did a beautiful job filling in the rest making it into a party for all- ALL of our guests were on the dancefloor! Joe knows how to read the room and smoothly transitioned between songs keeping the energy going in a classy turnt up way. My guests still rave about how it was the most fun they've ever had a wedding. Thank you Joe for making sure our night was special and also making it the best party we could have imagined!
Joe was the true hero of my wedding day. Like everyone says: no matter how meticulously you plan for your day, something is bound to go wrong on the day and during the planning pro...
cess. For my wedding this past June, the same was true. Luckily, I had Joe as my DJ. In addition to keeping a steady energy of fun and excitement throughout the night and playing exactly what the crowd wanted to hear (and very importantly not playing what I didn’t want to hear), he stepped in to help me solve a few small emergencies, but most importantly one really big one: when my husband and I forgot all the steps to our first dance! Joe smoothly transitioned the party so that no one had a clue. I’m forever grateful for it. Thanks Joe for being amazing in so many ways. It was a genuine pleasure to work with you.
We used Joe for our wedding in June. The overall experience was fantastic and I highly recommend A Metro Wedding.

s of the wedding including ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, dancing, intros, etc. He accommodated all of our special requests and even changed an intro song on the wedding day per our request. The entire time dealing with Joe, we felt confident that he understood our vision and would help us make it a reality.
I can't recommend A Metro Wedding enough - Joe really helped make our wedding day a fun and memorable one for everyone.
I can't say enough great things about Joe and A Metro Wedding! From the first conversation through the day of our wedding everything ran seamlessly! Joe knew what to play and wh...
en to play it and kept our guests moving the entire night! We had a few requests and he satisfied each one of them. In addition to doing a great job Joe was personable, accommodating and handled the entire evening as a true professional. We would absolutely recommend A Metro Wedding to friends and family!
Joe came to us highly recommended by a friend, and he didn't disappoint! He was the consumate professional from our first phone call to the final song, and was always a true pleasu...
re to work with. Joe is attentive, laid back, and accommodated our very extensive playlist (as well as our mixed families from Georgia and Long Island making very specific "regional" requests throughout the night). We have nothing but appreciation for Joe now that the Day is done, and he now comes highly recommended from us as well!
Very happy we went with Joe to DJ our wedding. He was very professional and easy to work with. He worked out logistics with the venue, arrived on time, properly dressed, and did a ...
great job reading our crowd and playing our song requests. Fee was more than reasonable too. Highly recommend.
My wife and I had a destination wedding in NY with around 40 guests last fall. We were having a hard time figuring out what to do about music for the reception until our wedding co...
ordinator recommended Joe. Let me tell you, having Joe be the DJ at our wedding was such a good decision. We sent him some songs we wanted to be played but it didn't really get the guests on the floor so he changed things up and everyone loved it! Everyone was singing along and dancing all night and that can be hard to do with such an intimate wedding. He definitely knew how to read the crowd and get everyone excited. Not only did he do a fantastic job, he showed up looking super sharp and fit right in to the feel of the wedding. All of our guests raved about him and had a blast.
I would definitely recommend Joe for your big day as you will not regret it!
We hired Joe for our intimate wedding and to say it was the best day of our lives is an understatement!

ough for the reception that he was able to step in and play the song for our ceremony, flawlessly!!! No one ever even knew there was a hiccup :)
Also, we only had 25 guests, but Joe and his contagious energy make the entire evening spectacular. Everyone was on the dance floor the entire time. I wish I could relive it all over again. Thank you Joe!
