t decided to risk it. It was a cold winter afternoon as we drove north. Before leaving home, we'd found the 85ten online and decided to give it a try. We're so glad we did. The main (historic) house is beautiful and well-maintained and the sitting room with the fireplace was comfortable and cozy on a cold winter night with the snow whistling through the trees and covering everything with a couple inches of fresh powder. The rooms are in a new section, attached to the house on the North side. The rooms are nicely decorated and provide all the modern amenities and comforts. Ours had a King bed. The next morning, after confirming that we had no dietary restrictions our host Jill made a delicious breakfast of banana bread french toast and fresh bacon. And the coffee was just as excellent. In short, we'd gladly come here again and recommend it to our friends.

Jill, our host, was incredibly warm and welcoming—her hospitality truly made the experience special. In the morning, she surprised us with a delicious and healthy continental breakfast featuring fresh coffee, orange juice, Greek yogurt with fruit and granola, hot-from-the-oven blueberry muffins, and bagels with cream cheese. It was the perfect start to our day before our kayaking trip to Turnip Rock.
We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend 85ten to anyone looking for a stylish and relaxing stay in Port Austin.
