3 Of Cups Events is an Austin-based boutique wedding and event planning company, founded in 2014 by Austin Event Planner and CEO Jessica Ryan. We are a collective of seasoned event industry professionals and Austin Wedding Planners. We are based in Austin, Texas—We keep things a little weird.
We are personable and down-to-Earth with an easy-going vibe. We are passionate about building genuine, personal connections and relationships with everyone we work with. ire a day-of coordinator. As we got a few months out, though, it became clear that there was so much to do that having someone to help with the planning AND the coordinating would be super helpful, and the 3 of Cups team came in to save the day!
The experience working with 3 of Cups was great - they were super on top of things without making anything feel more stressful or chaotic than it already did. Our meetings were really fun and comfortable, and Jessica did a great job of helping us to visualize the day and of asking questions to get to the bottom of what we wanted, were anxious about, or even actually cared about at all. We left with clear action items that made the whole process feel achievable. In the last few weeks in which everything felt chaotic - lots of moving pieces with lots of dependencies and deadlines approaching - Jessica and Katrina and the rest of the team just helped tie up any and all loose ends, including things I hadn't even thought about. We also hired 3 of Cups for our DJ, and everything about how the DJ fit into the day, how he and the coordinator worked together, etc. was just seamless. Working with the team truly felt like I was handling the big decisions and vision and they were handling everything that helped it come to life on our wedding day.
Both my husband and I (and many friends) have commented, even months later, about what a fun wedding it was. For me it felt like a big party with all of our favorite people. I know that if I didn't have such a great team behind us, both of us would have been worried about rallying people to move to the next thing, or double-checking that a vendor got the supplies they needed, or that the clean-up was running on time. Because we had Jessica there, though, and she already understood what we wanted and could make decisions for us on the fly (like reversing the layout for dinner/dance floor on the spot), we felt like our only job was to enjoy the day.
I would highly recommend (and in fact, already have in person a few times!) 3 of Cups for any upcoming weddings or events. They helped make the process of planning feel manageable (and even fun) and helped make our wedding day perfect.

and I got married on November 8, 2025, at Casa Blanca in Round Rock. We are not naturally organized people, and it became obvious pretty early in the planning process that we were going to need some help. We heard about 3 of Cups through friends my mom knew through work, and hiring them was one of the best decisions we made. I genuinely can't imagine what our wedding would have been like without them.
One of the biggest ways Jessica helped us was by narrowing down vendors. I was completely overwhelmed with analysis paralysis and had no idea how to choose between all the options. Jessica guided us to an amazing caterer, alcohol supplier, photographer, videographer, DJ, and probably a few others I'm forgetting. Having someone we trusted help us make those decisions was such a huge relief.
As the wedding got closer, Jessica helped us think through countless details that never would have crossed our minds. We made a timeline for setup and teardown, decided in advance who would take home leftover food, drinks, and decorations, and planned out the family and group photos we wanted. It was all so well thought out that we were able to be fully present on our wedding day instead of worrying about logistics.
My favorite part of our wedding day was how seamlessly everything went. We never felt like we had to wonder what was happening next or put out fires behind the scenes. Looking back, I know that was only possible because of all the planning Jessica and the 3 of Cups team put into making sure every detail was covered.
Our day-of coordinator, Katrina, was incredible and helped us through what ended up being the only mishap of the entire day. Right after we cut the cake, one of my friends accidentally spilled red wine on my wedding dress. Katrina immediately sprang into action. Along with my new husband, my sister, my mom, and my very apologetic friend, she took me to the bridal suite and started treating the stain. She came prepared with multiple Tide Pens, white chalk, and, just as importantly, a calm and reassuring attitude.
Thankfully, because the ceremony and portraits were already finished, I wasn't too upset. Katrina worked wonders, and we were able to lighten the stain so much that in the candid photos afterward, it just looks like a shadow. Thank you, Katrina!
I truly can't imagine planning our wedding without 3 of Cups. They made the entire process so much less stressful, and because of them, we were able to relax and enjoy one of the best days of our lives. If you're on the fence about hiring a wedding planner, I can't recommend 3 of Cups enough.

We were admittedly behind on planning when a friend recommended 3 Of Cups, and hiring them ended up being one of the best decisions we made. Jessica immediately helped us turn a collection of ideas into a cohesive vision that felt authentic to us as a couple. Every planning meeting left us feeling more organized, less overwhelmed, and excited instead of stressed. Katrina was also incredible throughout the planning process, helping us navigate all of the logistics and countless details that go into a wedding. Having her expertise and guidance made the entire process feel so much more manageable.
The biggest obstacle came just days before the wedding, when the forecast suddenly shifted to rain for our mostly outdoor celebration. Jessica and the team calmly helped us rethink the layout, develop a backup plan, and seamlessly pivot everything. What felt like a major crisis to us became something they handled with confidence and professionalism.
On the wedding day, Kristin led the coordination, and everything flowed effortlessly. We never had to worry about logistics or timelines—we were simply able to be present and soak in every moment. Honestly, I don't think we would have made it to the wedding day with our sanity intact without the 3 Of Cups team. Their organization, communication, and ability to keep everything moving behind the scenes allowed us to fully enjoy what became the best night of our lives.

Throughout the process, it was wonderful to work with the whole planning team including Jessica, Katrina, and Jordan. They were consistently friendly and helpful. We got married at the LBJ Wildflower Center in early May, which had fairly strict windows for vendors to load-in, set-up, and load-out. 3 of Cups knew the venue and navigated it's quarks so well.
The team's guidance on vendor selection was invaluable. When we were torn between options, they provided honest insights into the price points, how the vendor teams were handling other events they had recently worked on, and helped us narrow down when we were stuck. Additionally, they assisted us in reviewing contracts to be sure we had appropriate coverage and that the venue's unique timelines/guidelines were accounted for.
After each planning meeting, we left feeling confident and like we had made a big step forward. During the rehearsal, Jessica and her team were calm and professional, helping to get everyone involved comfortable and confident for the next day. The wedding day was incredibly smooth. We were able to fully enjoy our time with friends and family, which was our top priority. We are so grateful for their effort and attention to detail, and we look back at our photos thinking about what an incredible day it was.

etup and breakdown window, the coordinator was one vendor we wanted to be sure was very familiar with the venue and its quirks. When we first booked 3 of Cups, we had most of our other vendors booked already, so I was really looking for someone who could help manage the day-of and help our vision of a simple, but beautiful garden wedding come to life.
Even though we hired them as day-of coordinators, they did SO much work ahead of time to make the day go smoothly. I primarily worked with Jessica leading up to the wedding, and then Katrina was my day-of lead. Jessica helped me think through all the challenging logistical scenarios (like a rain plan that we weren't sure if we'd have to execute until about 48 hours ahead of time) and details that I never would have thought of. And Katrina executed everything on the day-of perfectly. Seeing the venue set up for the first time was a pinch-me moment and vision come to life.
This team was worth their weight in gold with the amount of work they put into the wedding. On the wedding day, we asked to change some things on the fly, and Katrina rolled with it like the pro she is. We had a decent amount of DIYs, which meant more work for Katrina when setting up. But she made setup look like a breeze, in no small part thanks to Jessica's planning beforehand. Jessica talked me through what was realistic to fit on our tables and also realistic to set up without needing extra hands. I appreciated her level-setting and ability to tackle challenges before they even arose.
There's so much more that goes into planning a wedding than just decor, and everything else went smoothly too. Every time we told a vendor we were working with 3 of Cups as our coordinator, their first reaction was always "Oh I love working with Jessica! She's great." That speaks volumes about how they manage all the moving parts of a wedding.
Katrina also managed our rehearsal. Her clear instructions, level-headedness, and advice during the rehearsal helped calm my nerves and helped my husband and I feel like we knew what we were doing standing at the altar. It can be nerve-wracking to be standing in front of so many people, but going through the rehearsal with Katrina helped a lot.
I highly recommend 3 of Cups. If I were to plan it all again, no question I'd work with 3 of Cups.

Vendors we hired independently reported difficulty reaching her, and her lack of follow-through caused us to lose a preferred band. On the wedding day, she was rude to guests and members of the wedding party, and dismissive of minor setup requests. She also accepted the wrong alcohol order. Instead of resolving it through the original vendor, she sent her assistant to another store that didn’t allow returns, resulting in added costs. We hired a planner to reduce stress, not add to it. We cannot recommend Jessica or her services.

Hands down the favorite part of the night was the atmosphere on the dance floor. If you are booking their DJ services, George is phenomenal. He took awesome direction and read the room perfectly, expertly looping pop music into Persian pop to accommodate our diverse group of attendees. He kept the energy high and the transition between genres felt completely natural. We are beyond thankful to the 3 of Cups team for making our wedding day at the Fairmont such a memorable experience. We also really appreciated how well she balanced being hands-on without ever feeling overbearing like some planners I've heard could be. She gave us plenty of space to do our own thing, while always being there when we needed guidance or support :). It felt like the perfect balance and made the experience feel collaborative rather than stressful.

We’re laid‑back and not great with deadlines, and Jessica and the team never added stress or made us feel bad when we missed something. They were realistic about vendors and budgets, and their recommendations were excellent. We used their in‑house florist, DJ, and photographer — and loved them all.
Kay, the florist, made all my flower dreams come true even though I struggled to describe what I wanted; everything she created was beautiful and interesting. George, the DJ, played our hits and brought nonstop energy. Lee, the photographer, arrived early, offered to stay late, and fit right in with the group. I wanted a magical, enchanting, celestial themed wedding with various crystals as decor and the team delivered exactly what I asked for. It turned out lovely and beautiful! Jessica and Katrina were there to answer my questions by email anytime I needed. 3 of Cups has a very organized and efficient way of doing things and their google doc spreadsheets are thorough and a lifesaver. There are so many fine-tuned details about things you could fail to think of, that’s why 3 of Cups is a must. They delivered task-related timelines to keep me on track, took an inventory of all my decor, and worked with my vendors to create a seamless timeline. Jessica is who I met with for all my planning meetings and each meeting she was friendly, informative, and professional. My favorite part of my wedding day was being given the time to enjoy mingling with my guests and the ceremony itself. I can’t stress enough how valuable the 3 of Cups team is and how smooth they helped the wedding day go. It wouldn’t have been such a wonderful day without them. With the unique theme we had - Cowboys & Aliens - she was able to beautifully bring together our crazy concepts in a way that was over the top beautiful but not cheesy as a heavily themed wedding could have gone. We brought many DIY elements that her and her team pulled together on the day to make things so beautiful! I was blown away walking into our event space and seeing the vision come together. Everything throughout the day went so smoothly and perfectly on schedule, while not feeling stressful at all. From the planning to their in house DJ’s flawless execution, and not to mention the AMAZING script Jessica wrote for our ceremony that she officiated, everything was beyond perfect. She took away almost all of my anxiety every time we met for our pre-planning meetings, she knows the best vendors and the best wedding tips/tricks, she keeps your head on straight through all of the stress, and the way that her mind works is INCREDIBLE. 3 of Cups was so helpful with having our vision come together, upon first meeting with Jess and team I told her I was a super planner but the weekend of my wedding I just wanted to kick back and enjoy and celebrate with my husband. Once the wedding weekend was here that was the case, we both were able to feel like guests of honor for our day.
They were very communicative, we had a terrible occurence happen where our cater, Royal Fig went out of business with no plan in place to help us or replace our catering contract with a new team. Jess immediately met with us, and sourced new vendors the same week, she was with us every step of the way, even going above and beyond assisting with the new tasting with our new caterer, Hanks (who was also incredible).

We hired her with ~8 months to go in our wedding timeline, and Jessica immediately sent us spreadsheets upon spreadsheets of helpful information - to-do checklists organized by dates, recommended timelines and recommended vendors, just to name a few. Audrey helped us source vendors and was a joy to work with - she was responsive to feedback, understood my (disjointed) vision immediately and was incredibly communicative. We ultimately chose to work with many vendors 3 of Cups recommended (photography, music, décor, floral) and they were all amazing, within budget and the perfect fit for our style. Virtually every vendor we booked was based on Jessica’s suggestion - her knowledge of vendors in the area took away the decision fatigue we definitely would have experienced otherwise. She was also able to weigh in on what was worth a splurge vs where she’d recommend we save based on our priorities. An example - Jessica joined us at our rentals meeting (and we had a lot of rentals!) She not only helped navigate the design decisions but seamlessly ordered the right quantities and sizes of everything - something we 1000% would have messed up (and probably spent way too much on) if left on our own :)

Right off the bat, Jessica sent us resources for planning and set up a collaborative Google Sheet that helped guide our planning, which was super helpful. Our meetings with her were really efficient: we felt like we always had enough time to go through our list of questions, as well as Jessica’s list of reminders, if she had any. It was also extremely helpful to do a venue walkthrough with Jessica. She helped us visualize and run through the wedding day timeline, which got us thinking about any details or loose ends we had missed.

Planning a wedding was one of the biggest and most overwhelming projects my wife and I have worked on. Jessica had the entire thing visualized from the get go and gave us options along the way. She gave us a crash course and after our second meeting we could picture the whole event playing out in our minds start to finish. and it was the best $ we've ever spent. Umlauf poses particular challenges in that the vendors can't set up until 4pm, and there is an amplified noise cut off at 10pm. Jessica and her team helped plan and execute an swift timeline that allowed us to cruise through photos, ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, and cake cutting so that we could have ample time dancing and just enjoying the evening. Any logistical snags that occurred were not evident to me :). She also helped us massively with event and dinner layout, templates and to-do's, and her wide-thinking of various options and scenarios. in wedding. I am a type A personality and my husband is the easiest going guy, albeit he comes off aloof at times. Jessica was able to help bridge the gap for us a few times over details that we probably would have spent hours debating over. We ended up purchasing 6 additional hours of planning time leading up to our wedding day and it was the perfect amount of time in my opinion. Jessica was so helpful in getting our thoughts organized and laying out the timeline for our wedding day in excruciating detail (and by excruciating I mean in a way that made my type A heart sing!). I should also mention that nothing fazes Jessica and she is as cool as a cucumber like my husband. Lauren our DOC, and Dasha her assistant were incredible. They made sure everything ran smoothly and were so thoughtful and wonderful throughout the night. Lauren even got down on the floor and helped bustle my disaster of a french bustle that was of course just being very difficult after couple's photos. It was just a really wonderful experience overall, and I cannot recommend their services enough!

After this entire process, I can say we would have been so lost without Jessica and her amazing team. Our wedding went off without a hitch which is a testament to their thoughtfulness, attention to detail, and ability to get sh*t done!
Jessica is organized, efficient, and super detail oriented. She is professional and gets right to it, but is also really friendly so all the “work time” felt easy! She accomplished so much in our 6 hours of planning time and helped us anticipate potential issues ahead of time, put together the most in-depth excel spreadsheets, and advised us on everything: site layout, logistics, timing, ceremony, etc. She's amazing.
Lee was our day-of coordinator who was on site from about 3 until the end of the event. She was fantastic! She organized all the moving parts in such a seamless way that we had nothing to worry about and we could just relax and enjoy. She made it seem effortless but I know that’s only because she was on the ball the entire time! Her assistant Audrey was great as well, and the two of them were a huge help throughout the event (including the end where it can get chaotic to pack and load out). I cannot tell you how nice it was to take a moment after the ceremony and relax with snacks that they had set aside for us. Lee and Audrey were so thoughtful and attentive; we were so grateful to have their help!
On sound, George was also awesome! He was communicative and easy to work with during the process. The timing of the ceremony music was great, we had no tech issues during the event and everything went smoothly the entire evening. His lights and DJ set up also provided a great ambiance in the dance studio – the dance floor was lively all evening! We made our own playlist and put the songs in order ourselves because we preferred to, but he was happy to be as involved as we wanted him to be, which is awesome! Music was important to us, and we appreciated his flexibility, collaboration, and professionalism.

ssica and 3 of Cups initially. I had hired a different wedding planner, who unfortunately, was unable to complete the contracted service due to COVID-19. I was referred to Jessica after the initial planner let me know she would be shuttering her business less than two months before my wedding. My immediate reaction wasn't great. I was stressed and frustrated. But then entered Jessica and all was forgotten.
I wish I had hired Jessica from the beginning. She went above and beyond for me when she didn't have to. She agreed to alter her contract to meet all of my needs which wasn't required of her. We had countless meetings to make sure every detail was thought of and planned out. For jumping right into a wedding she didn't miss a beat.
Her excel spreadsheets were a lifesaver. What seemed daunting at first to complete, ended up being the reason why my wedding day ran so smoothly. Jessica is so detail oriented that in the moment it can seem like.. "Really? Do we really need to write that down." And the answer is yes, yes you do. There's a method behind her Type A madness. Jessica was assertive and efficient which is necessary when dealing with lots of family members taking photos and wanting to congratulate the married couple. She wasn't worried about being seen as "nice" which is honestly necessary when you're dealing with so many moving parts. However, she treated all of the wedding party, guests, and vendors with respect while still getting sh*t done.
I'm fairly controlling and was initially nervous about the thought of releasing the reins. All of those concerns were eased after our first meeting. I can look back on my wedding day and say with confidence that the reason my day ran so smoothly is because Jessica had already thought of everything. I was able to relax and fully lean into being the bride who was being told where I needed to be and when. For this, I am eternally grateful for Jessica and 3 of Cups Wedding. I hired Jessica as my month-of coordinator after having to postpone my wedding and loosing my original planner because of COVID-19 (just a scheduling conflict, the other planner is...
fine.) Jessica offered creative suggestions on how to adapt my original plan for 140 guests down to a safe small 30 guest outdoor socially distanced wedding. But her biggest hero moment, was when I received an email from the venue on the morning of my wedding saying they might have to cancel the event because of new restrictions in place. She jumped on calls to my venue and vendors to figure it all out. I'm actually an event planner and pride myself in being super cool calm and collected through all the surprises, but that email nearly broke me. When Jessica called and said, "Girl, everyone's on board, we've worked it out, and you're going to have a great wedding today!" I almost cried with relief. Haha! Everything ran super smoothly and I didn't worry about a thing after that scare. All that said, please don't hesitate to hire 3 of Cups.
