About this vendor
Welcome to 223 Main! Not your average rental venue, this beautiful and bright space was builtin the early 1900's and recently underwent renovations and reopened to the public in January of 2021. This little slice of history has turned into a modern open-concept space, but still maintains its historical vibe in the Downtown Lemont Historic District.
Perfect for smaller events with less than 100 guests, the venue includes both indoor and outdoor space along with a selection of amenities, making it perfect for every stage of your celebration, from your joyous engagement to your ceremony and fun-filled reception.
Just a 30-minute drive from downtown Chicago, 223 Main is an ideal spot to celebrate your day away from the busyness of the big city. This unique venue blends the old and the new, combining a modern open-space layout with the vintage vibes of the Downtown Lemont Historic District. The 1,500 sq ft indoor space offers rustic hardwood floors, high ceilings, and floor-to-ceiling windows, with a muted color scheme perfect for matching with your decor and wedding vision.
For open-air celebrations, the 1,500 sq ft side garden has vibrant greenery and towering trees. It connects directly to the sidewalk where high top tables can be set up. The outdoor space is also wheelchair accessible and can have tents with heaters and other items added to it for your guests' comfort.
Lauren & Hector, the owners of 223 Main, are ready to help make your dream celebration a reality. They know how much time and effort go into planning a wedding and want to make renting the venue as easy as possible. They make it easy to customize your event and have a full range if items you can use including furniture, portable bar, flatware, glassware, linens, a vintage popcorn machine, outdoor heaters, sound equipment and lighting and more!
All day rental bookings make it easy for you to coordinate any vendors and set the space up. They also offer flexible liquor options including a BYOB package or can customize the bar package to your specific tastes.

siastic and pleasant to work with. We had 49-51 guests and it was my first time organizing an event this big. I had food and cake catered, DJ and professional photography. We also to needed the space for practicing a dance routine the day before the event. Its a lot to coordinate and for someone who is going through this the first time, it was so much helpful to have a good team to work with you. Nicole and Lauren made the day of the event run smoothly. They knew what they need to do and they did it with enthusiasm. It makes the event even more memorable. The location also makes it so convenient for everyone to come. There are parking spots around too. They have good amenities. and items you can rent. The space can be reconfigured in any way you like and can even extend to the outdoors. Thank you for your help, and I definitely recommend this venue and team to anyone.
We had our kids first birthday here. The venue was perfect. Lauren and Hector were great to work with and made planning easy.

The golden arc provided by the venue was not just a backdrop, but a stunning work of art that elevated the beauty of the space. It became the focal point for our guests to capture cherished moments, resulting in an array of truly unforgettable pictures.

What a perfect space to host events! When I first contacted Lauren and toured the space, I immediately saw the endless possibilities with this blank canvas. We hosted my daughter’s...
first birthday party and were able to fit a play area for the kids and 50 people no problem! The light coming in from the large storefront windows made all our photos look incredible. Lauren was also a dream to work with, from sharing ideas on how the space could be used and use of her large inventory to getting the coffee machine started for us the morning of the event. I definitely recommend using 223 Main for all your events, large or small!

The owners, Lauren and Hector, are great. They are incredibly responsive and helpful.

vas for as much decorating as you see fit, the outdoor space is a great amenity, and the parking in downtown Lemont was convenient for everyone. The outdoor space was very pretty, and we were able to take all of our photos there right before the ceremony. There are a variety of items users can rent including up lighting, a popcorn machine, etc. Plus, downtown Lemont has a lot of excellent restaurants for catering.
Our goal was to have an affordable, beautiful, and fun wedding. 223 Main helped us do all of that. We loved being able to decorate the space how we wanted, purchase our own food and beverage, but rent or pay for some of the bigger items that would have been hard to find on our own (e.g. DJ stereo setup, bartenders and servers).
Our wedding was perfect, and we can’t thank 223 Main enough!

The 223 Main space is so great as it can transform itself into anything as well as being turnkey. Our guests were blown away by how unique the space was. Days later, we continued to get compliments.

t celebrate later. I was over whelmed with how I was going to pull it off. I found 223 Main and knew this space was going to be perfect. They have everything you’d possibly need, tables, chairs, linens, a cute bar to use, and even some decor, plus tons of other stuff. They allowed us to come up multiple times to see the space and figure out what items we would need for the day of and drop things off before hand. They helped us make our special day, so easy and relaxing. If we needed them at anytime before, during or even after the event, they were right there to answer any questions or help. I would 11/10 recommend them for any event you need. I will definitely keep them in mind for any future events we have. Thank you again Lauren and Hector, we are forever grateful for your space to have our mini wedding, everything turned out so perfect.
Wow this space is awesome! It's right in downtown Lemont so it has such a cute vibe. And the huge windows that line the front of the venue let the outside in. Plenty of natural lig...
ht such a bonus! Who likes going into a stuffy ballroom that is just an enclosed dark space. The interior is really neutral and updated so you're not competing with interior decor when bringing in your vision for your event. And I personally always look for a venue that has the option of an outdoor area and this one has a perfect spot on the side of the building to set up a cocktail hour for. Love that! There's a super cute stand for beverage service that I heard was brought in from Wrigley Field. How fun! It's small details like the beautiful cross back chairs in a beautiful on trend wood that makes all the difference! Even after the event is over there are some pretty cute bars/restaurants to hit up so the party doesn't end! I went here for a baby shower but it's the perfect space for a small wedding which lets face it is todays reality. I could also see doing some cool work events here or birthday parties. A+
We booked 223 Main for our daughter’s wedding. I can’t say enough about Hector and Lauren the owners of the event space…they went above and beyond to make sure the day was perfect...
. The venue worked out wonderfully for us, as we were able to have the wedding ceremony outside on their wooded and grassy area. We were able to enjoy the quaint town of Lemont and our guests then moved inside for the reception. The event space itself worked perfectly for our guests, as there was plenty of space for dinner and dancing. They have a very cool bar on wheels which we used outside for cocktail hour and moved inside for the reception. We highly recommend 223 Main and have done so already! It was perfect for the wedding and plan to use them again for other parties in the future.
We were the first wedding here! We had an amazing ceremony outside, cocktail hour and dinner inside. We had 40 people and there was still plenty of space to add a lot more. Everyon...
e commented on how nice the wedding turned out, were so glad we were able to do it here. We did the byob option and catered our own food in, which was a great option to have and ended up saving us a lot of money. Our bar bill would have more than the total cost to rent the space anywhere else. Would have another event there again!
This venue is beautiful and cozy. The owners, Lauren and Hector, are incredibly flexible and helpful. Outside there is a nice green area, where we set up the wedding ceremony for ...
a few clients, and they loved it. Working with Lauren is a pleasure. She is flexible in coordinating the setup and pickup of the rentals and decorations, which makes our job of wedding planning that much nicer. The location is easy to find and has favorable natural lighting. The fact that the venue has glass windows highlights the party at night.
