Our daughter and her husband were married on June 13, 2026 at Grace Episcopal Church Newton and they held their reception for 140 people at the McMullin Art Museum on the Boston Co...
llege campus.
From start to finish the experience (the planning, coordination, food, ambiance and service), exceeded our family's expectations and we continue to receive enthusiastic compliments from our guests. The food, both during the cocktail hour and dinner, was absolutely delicious and beautifully presented and the service nothing short of exceptional.
It was the bridal couple's intent to find an elegant venue with both indoor and outdoor facilities close to home and convenient to the church. Having the cocktail reception in the capacious, art-filled reception rooms and dinner under a large sailcloth tent adjacent to the beautiful terrace was ideal. The reception rooms, terrace and lawn are kept in immaculate condition and the setting was utterly elegant and comfortable for our guests.
Over many months of planning, the Boston College Event Coordinator was most patient with us and attentive to our needs but also very knowledgeable which we appreciated. Our many visits, meetings, and zoom calls with her paid off. Everything was perfectly coordinated and every detail was exactly as we had imagined.
Boston College Events provides everything under one contract except for the florist, the music, and the photographer but even these vendors were completely managed by the Event Coordinator and her large team before, during and after the event. My wife and I had zero anxiety leading up to and during the reception. When the party was over, we simple walked off the moonlit terrace and drove home.
As father of the bride, I would also like to end by saying that the McMullin Art Museum/Boston College Events provided an extraordinary value given the quality of the food, service, and facilities.
We just had our wedding reception here nearly a month ago and it was an amazing experience, top to bottom. From the excellent food and phenomenal atmosphere to the wonderful staff,...
everything about our evening at 2101 was about as close to perfect as we could have hoped.
Through the many complicating factors that came with COVID, our general cluelessness at how to plan a wedding, and the myriad stressors that come with putting the whole day together, Michelle and her outstanding team were immensely helpful. They have our profound thanks, and we couldn't recommend the venue emphatically enough.
I am an planner and recently had the pleasure of working with the 2101 Commonwealth team! They made the experience so wonderful through their dedication to customer service, creati...
vity and detailed execution. Amind MANY changes due to COVID-19, they continued to work with us to find the best plan possible. On-site, we felt we were in great plans and they were on top of every detail. Can't wait to work with them again!
This was, without a doubt, the best decision we made in regards to our wedding. Our initial plans were put on hold because of COVID, and luckily Michelle and the team at Boston Col...
lege's McMullen Museum (2101 Commonwealth Avenue) were able to assist us in holding an amazing ceremony on what turned out to be a beautiful day in March in Boston. They were accommodating, flexible, and the space was beautiful. Michelle worked seamlessly with our vendors (florist and photographer) and did everything to ensure that we had a perfect day. I can't recommend 2101 Comm. Ave./The McMullen enough.
This venue was the perfect backdrop for my clients' summer wedding. Cocktails were passed inside and guests spilled out on to the patio to enjoy an open bar under the stars. Then g...
uests were invited inside the tent for a gourmet dinner on the back lawn. It was truly a magical evening. The management, culinary and service teams all anticipated and exceeded our very high expectations leaving the couple, their families and the guests thrilled.
2101 Commonwealth Ave was a dream come true. From beginning to end, the venue provided a 5 star service that would rival any top hotel. The staff was professional, helpful, and eag...
er to please.
The space itself was elegant, rich in history, and perfectly manicured. It has a wow factor that you dream about. I cannot say enough good things about this venue and staff. You will be lucky to book your wedding here and I hope I am invited!
We chose this venue out of convenience, initially -- we had a fast (6 month) engagement and we wanted a venue that was beautiful, top quality, close to the city for our guests who ...
were flying in, and convenient for us to work with. Those were pretty high expectations given only 6 months to prepare, but Michelle and her team managed to put together the perfect day for us. We got a million compliments on the beauty of the venue, the quality of the food, and the incredible service -- I still get comments from friends over a year later about how magical our day was. Michelle also helped me find the perfect florist. Even though we were guinea pigs for this venue, they were incredibly flexible as we worked out the kinks together and remained so professional and responsive the whole time. I so wish we could go back and relive our day over and over! I wouldn't change a thing.
