1928 Planning Company - SW Michigan

set-up and take down, which was very convenient. There were some slight tweaks we made once they started decorating, but everything turned out great!

ery hard to get in contact with danielle some days and when we would plan meetings her time slots were in the middle of the day which is hard for a person working a 9-5…. also a few weeks before the wedding after planning everything with danielle we were told another girl was going to be helping us the day of the wedding. Danielle assured us we would be well taken care of but honestly i did not feel that way. My bridesmaids and MOH also agreed. I constantly had to ask what time it was and ask about the timeline when she should have been at my side reminding me. All guests needed to be escorted upstairs for cocktail hour instead everyone was just standing around confused on where to go next after the ceremony. i couldn’t even help my guests because I was taking photos with the photographer (that should’ve been her job to tell them where to go). she also didn’t remind us order of events during reception like cake cutting first dance etc… A lot of the times she was nowhere to be found, and I was running around looking for her. she started taking down decorations way before the reception was over. I had guests coming up to me still asking where to put the cards because she put the card box in the bridal suite way to early… journeyman forgot to put out thank spirit bottles for our guests that we paid a lot for, not sure who to blame for that but feel like our wedding planner should of known those needed to be put out….. overall don’t feel the service was worth 3,000

time and our stress was as low as it could be. Tricia, our day of coordinator, was also so great. She was very communicative and worked well with our chaotic families! She even sprinted to go get my bouquet I forgot before I walked down the aisle. I’ll never forgot that act of kindness. I will recommend 1928 to anyone and everyone. ❤️

of coordination were fantastic and worth every penny!

ing process, and Danielle made everything SO easy for us - she truly went above and beyond with recommendations, updates, scheduling, and coordinating. Trust me when I tell you that she made this process basically stress free for my husband and I. After a couple of meetings, she captured everything that we were looking for on our wedding day(ceremony and reception) and on the day of the wedding her decor design and set up was so much more than we could have imagined. On our wedding day, there wasn't a single thing we needed to worry about or stress over - Danielle was an absolute Rockstar. She handled all decoration set up, coordination with all vendors, and ensured everything happened on time, all while being extremely professional and accommodating. You can tell that Danielle has passion for this and it shows in her work. We, honestly, felt like we were always Danielle's #1 priority and I could not recommend her enough. If you want every detail for your wedding to be perfect and to not stress about vendors, design and other details, you need Danielle. :)

day. Leading up to our big day, Danielle was extremely helpful in providing input, answering questions, recommending vendors, adapting to change, and gathering all the little details to ensure the team was prepared. Justine was with us on our actual wedding day, and perfectly executed all the plans that I had worked so hard on and communicated previously. She made game-time decisions when necessary, directed us through unknown parts of the day, helped coordinate with vendors, and helped the day flow as we hoped it would. I am SO happy that I chose to work with 1928 Planning Co. for such an important day in our lives.

USE THIS SERVICE. You will not regret it!

lanning process. She scheduled regular meetings with us to go through day-of scheduling details and was always available to answer any other questions I had outside of those meetings. Tricia was our Day-Of Coordinator and we loved her! She brought such a positive and energetic vibe to our wedding and really helped for the entire day to go smoothly. She did a wonderful job decorating and cleaning up our ceremony and reception spaces and I was so grateful for this help. I am so happy that we had Danielle and Tricia to help us make our wedding day so special! Thank you! Courtney and Eric

ss to a virtual planning platform, talking me through the planning, and answering all of my questions! She was very knowledgeable about our venue Hidden Vineyard, which was even better. I live out of state, but all of our virtual appointments were extremely productive and accommodating; I was able to meet with her in person once, along with my mom, and it was extremely reassuring and helpful! Justine was assigned as our on-site coordinator on the big day, and she was amazing. She handled all of the decorating wonderfully - even having to move the ceremony inside at the last minute. Having someone there at the end of the night to pack everything up so my family and I could leave was truly so great. I cannot recommend day of coordination services enough, and 1928 Planning Co is the best!

o our needs. She knew the venue 12 Corners so well and was able to help our vision we had there come to life. It was amazing to see. I could not thank Danielle and her team enough!!

ct. We worked together on a workbook online that made everything so easy to navigate and think about and it also has deadlines on there to keep you on track. Then we had Justine for the day off and she was amazing! All the details were just perfect and everyone complimented everything. I highlt recommend!

any happier!

if it was late at night. We had Justine for our day of coordinator and she was the biggest help to make sure everything ran smoothly. I highly recommend for any wedding planning service!!

vendors, and day of went above and beyond for us! They also had a variety of items available for rent that helped us to fill out our decor at our venue, and always helped to problem solve solutions for any issues that came up. We couldn't have had such a beautiful wedding without their help. I would highly recommend to any friend getting married in Southwest Michigan!

r questions. The day of the wedding, she was there to take care of everything so we could enjoy the big day. We can't thank her enough!

n went so smoothly and not have to worry about family/friends cleaning up! It was so great to be able to enjoy the day and let Danielle run the show! Her team is 100% worth every dollar spent!

e of working with Danielle as part of their day-of coordination package paired with few ala carte options (transportation coordination, Shades of Light support, and drapery extensions). The services menu was immensely helpful and it was such a great convenience to have the option to select the offerings that made the most sense for us based on our planning preferences. Without Danielle’s extensive expertise and input as we navigated, I don’t think the day would have been as seamless as it was. The team on-site for our rehearsal walkthrough and on the day were amazing. They handled our set-up and tear-down with such ease (styled to perfection I might add!) and were amongst two of the best service decisions we made. Highly recommend Danielle and her team for any event needs!

y. Because of her, we had a carefree day and it all went perfectly! I can’t say enough good things about Danielle and 1928 planning co!

whole process was invaluable. Her support and guidance helped make our wedding day stress-free and beautiful! We couldn’t be more thankful and highly recommend 1928 for any couple who are at any point in their planning process! Thanks Danielle!

rocess without her. She responds to emails incredibly quickly, always providing excellent guidance and recommendations from all her experiences. We always felt like a priority regardless of how far away our wedding date was. 1928 has an amazing planning workbook that we used frequently throughout the process to keep ourselves organized. Her consultations were always SO helpful and as a very type-A couple ourselves, we were always surprised by how many moments we had where she'd ask us questions that we hadn't thought through yet. Danielle is incredibly organized and really made us feel confident in knowing the wedding would be successful with her help. On the actual wedding day, she helped with all the decorations (and we had a lot!), organizing all of our small touches, making the space look perfect, and kept us on schedule even when we were late returning from some pictures during cocktail hour. The 1928 team ensured that our wedding went smoothly without any issues, and we couldn't be more grateful for them! They also did an amazing job of taking down all the decorations and cleaning everything up so we didn't have to worry about anything. Having all of them on site throughout the day really took a lot of stress away and we can't recommend them highly enough! Thank you 1928!

e for partial planning and utilized some of her rental collection. We were both three hours from the venue location so we really relied on Danielle's local expertise. Throughout our two year planning process, Danielle was extremely responsive and was always available to meet with us. We always felt like a priority even when we were years away from our date. She answered all of our random little questions and kept us on track and organized throughout the process. Planning a wedding is stressful but after one minute of talking to Danielle, all of our stress melted away. Danielle is an extremely calming presence, very professional, and is on top of everything. On wedding day, she kept our timeline moving, set up our event spaces, and made sure we had everything we needed. We cannot think of a single thing that went wrong day of, mostly thanks to Danielle. We are eternally grateful to Danielle for pulling off the wedding of our dreams. Do yourself a favor and hire this company!

new would align with our wedding vision and that we could trust. Danielle expertly kept us on track during the planning process while also helping us manage vendors leading up to wedding day. She and 1928 also helped plan our rehearsal dinner, ensuring that the whole wedding weekend went off without a hitch! We would highly recommend working with Danielle and her team for your event.

unication. Would not have had the perfect day without their help and execution!

ure it would go smoothly. I had no anxiety the day of our wedding, knowing that everything would be taken care of exactly how I wanted it. My husband and are are so thankful for the amazing team at 1928 Planning Co.

e evening). We are so glad that we did. Danielle helped keep us organized during the final stages of planning and insured that we did not miss or forget any details. Danielle's pleasant and calm demeanor and obvious efficiency, competency and problem solving skills kept us calm and happy. We would not have enjoyed the wedding as much as we did without her support. We highly recommend 1928 Planning Company particularly if you are holding a wedding at venue that requires you to hire and coordinate all of your own vendors and activities.

the parts of planning a wedding. The Day of Coordination was also incredible. The 1928 team set up all of our decor on the day of our wedding and boxed everything up at the end of the night. The decor looked incredible. We had a lot of decor that we had purchased to set up and everything looked better than I could have hoped for. They also kept our evening running smoothly and helped coordinate the shuttle bus throughout the night to help guest get back to their hotels. We also rented some items from 1928 including their firepit and chairs for outdoors in the courtyard and their giant jenga set. These items were used all night and guests seemed to really enjoy them. I would absolutely recommend using 1928.

d what additional items we needed to focus on. We chose to utilize the day of coordination and we are so glad we did. The team made the wedding day run smoothly and allowed us to focus on sharing the day with our guests, instead of having to work out the final details with the vendors. Would highly recommend 1928 and their day of coordination offering!

ring random questions, vendor suggestions, wedding timeline, set up/tear down of décor, etc. Logistics of the day went off without a hitch and we couldn’t have done it without her. Getting a day of coordinator is one of the best things you can do to ensure you have a calm, stress free wedding day. Having Danielle on-site really allowed me to enjoy the day because I knew we were in great hands. They’re worth every penny.

ensured we had everything covered. So much so that she went out on the day of the wedding to get a tide pen to remove a sightly smudge on my wedding dress. Their day of planning service is a must to take the stress out of decor set up and take down. Take advantage of their rentals. It makes finding those little details super easy!

dio for various large productions at stages all over Michigan. We didn't necessarily need someone to help us plan our event from the beginning, but what we really needed was someone who could take our vision and run with it. Danielle took our plan and worked with us for months leading up to our wedding. She worked with us to complete the most specific and comprehensive google doc that had every single moment of the actual day planned and organized. With this doc I was able to send her messages with new updates and upload photos for the design we were going for. She made our vision come to life with more sparkle and pizazz than I could have hoped for. To her additional credit I almost never saw her until she needed me to move to the next location or she wanted to bring me a cocktail and if there were any issues, I never heard about a single one. She was our team leader and she performed her duties 100% successfully. Not only did she put together the most beautiful wedding, but she also tore it all down on her own which is INSANE because we brought everything in a uhaul having had to travel hours to our venue. She packed up our entire wedding in about an hour and we never even saw it happening. Hiring 1928 to be our day of planner was the absolute best investment we made when it came to our wedding. I will shout it from the rooftops to any of my friends getting married. Do yourself a favor in advance, and just hire them now. You don't need to look any further or think any more on it. Just do it.

a detail left behind. The place cards were made incorrectly by me and they didn't skip a beat on making new ones and hand cutting them hours before the wedding. We had a few events take place that messed up our timeline not due to the vendor but us and they again didn't skip a beat, changed up the timeline to accommodate everything we had going on. Everything was packed up and nothing was left behind. I would recommend using them for your big day ! I don't think it would have turned out the way it did without them.

ional, responsive, and easy to figure out arrangements and logistics! The process of picking up and returning the items was also easy and flexible! I would highly recommend working with Danielle and her team to ensure your vision is brought to life seamlessly!

g correctly but they literally only set things up. Nobody came when I was getting ready, I wasn’t being guided to keep on timeline, didn’t ask if I needed anything or even a drink when I had nothing during toasts. They basically were MIA and only there to setup and tare down (which hour florist or venue could do). A day of planner should be by your side when needed which was not the case. Not to mention they didn’t save any of my items but assured me it was going to be taken care of. So I was left out of my place cards and my bouquet was thrown out (which I was planning to save). Overall they were a HUGE disappointment and say stay away. I’ve seen many day of planners & they didn’t do anything. My own bridesmaids even noticed the lack of attentiveness.

I appreciated was at no time did I feel like they were forcing me to rent more from them. I truly felt like together we planned what rentals I needed, and when discussing budget they were open to finding ways to save money.

and helped our day go off without a single issue!

gned Stephanie and thank god....because she did an amazing job! I got married at a venue where I had to bring everything in and setup. She handled the million things I threw at her with a smile and paid great attention to detail. I'm a former wedding planner myself, so I was pretty picky on what I expected. It's so important, as a bride, not to worry about anything that day...to sit back and watch your planning unfold beautifully ....I was able to do that. Thank you!

consults and workbooks helped us plan things that we didn't even realize we needed to plan. Our wedding day went off without a hitch and a huge part of that was thanks to 1928 Planning Co. If I could give any piece of advice to any prospective couples out there- hire this company to help you plan your day!! You will not regret it.

ordination, Rentals, Lighting and Transportation Coordination. And boy were they excellent! Stephanie was fantastic! Always responsive! Their process is really helpful to make sure no detail is missed. The setup and clean up at the end of the day made the Day Of worth it alone, and there was so much more they did!! Stephanie wrangled our bunch for the rehearsal, was there to make sure things went off without a hitch on wedding day and had staff there on site all night to make sure things went as planned. Thank you so much Stephanie and 1928!

had. We upgraded to the day of coordination and it was absolutely worth it! Everything went off without a hitch and I didn't hear a peep the day of. Everyone was extremely kind, helpful, and professional - they made our wedding day go smoothly and everything was beautiful!

k and choose what upgrades you would like. Having options really helped us stay in our budget! From the beginning Danielle and her team were professional, timely and helped guide me to the perfect wedding day. Even when I had random questions, I would hear from her within 24 hours. If it was a busy weekend for 1928, they communicated that as well and always followed up appropriately. The workbook was such a help in planning my day and knowing what I needed to complete. The day of the wedding was perfect. We did upgrade to have decorations put up and taken down. Being from out of town we arrived to Saint Joseph on Thursday. I did not have to think or do anything for the wedding until the day of. I chose to do my own flowers, so the day of we dropped off our decorations and flowers. Spent about an hour putting them together, and from there the 1928 team did the rest. When we arrived for the ceremony everything was perfect. They followed my ideas and plans to the T. Thanks to Danielle and 1928 I was able to enjoy time with family and friends, relax before the wedding, and live in the moment the second we arrived. I cannot imagine my day without them!

edding day by filling out the client workbook. Danielle is amazing, and any bride and/or couple that gets to work with Danielle is lucky!

and her team provided clear, concise, and constant communication to ensure our wedding day went off without a hitch. Set-up and tear-down went smoothly, not a single item missing, and it was all decorated exactly as I had described! Friendly and conscientious service all around.

g reschedule because of Covid and a difficult venue. I hired them for day of coordination services, and they were worth their weight in gold - I should have hired them to help with more. They were professional, prompt, friendly and so easy to work with. I felt that they had complete control of helping our day go smoothly. I can't recommend them enough!!
