1908 Grand was the most perfect place for our wedding for so many reasons! First the location was wonderful, just a six minute walk from downtown Gainesville, so our guests could ...
literally walk back to their hotels after the reception!
The space is absolutely beautiful and unlike any of the other location we looked at. Where vintage meets modern, the space is beautiful by itself with the chandeliers, dark wood, a marble bar and beautiful windows that let in natural light! You’re truly paying for a classy venue and not an empty room. At the same time there is also enough space to add whatever decorations you want and make it your own! Our guests loved that there were a couple different locations within the venue itself, especially with the ballroom being upstairs made it feel like a grand reveal!
Secondly, I cannot say enough about the staff! Jana made us feel so special and let us come in multiple times with our wedding planner to get measurements, look at table layouts and to dream about our perfect day! She worked so hard behind the scenes of our day to make it seem effortless, everything flowed so well! No question felt like an inconvenience, no request to big!
Thank you 1908 Grand for making our day so special, now every time we drive by we get to say: that’s where we had the best day ever!
My wife & I got married here in December '22. We can't recommend this venue enough. A gem in downtown Gainesville. Incredible staff... Beautiful, elegant building with great detail...
s... The way the ballroom looks as the setting sun peaks through the windows makes for a beautiful ceremony. Everyone at our wedding was very impressed!
Being locals to Gainesville, FL, my husband and I knew we wanted to get married in town, and lucky enough, the old Masonic Lodge was being restored and would be finished in time fo...
r our wedding day and would become the 1908 Grand. Getting married in April, we wanted an indoor venue- ceremony and reception, and The 1908 was the perfect size to accommodate our 125 count guest list. The venue is gorgeous and sets the tone for an old Florida romance theme - it screams elegance. Everywhere you look in this building, you will find a beautiful detail, from the exquisite chandeliers to the doorknobs. We felt that you didn't need much decoration, for the building stood independently. While the building is impressive, the team behind The 1908 is fantastic. This team worked very hard to help produce the wedding of our dreams, and it was delivered. Always there to answer a question and to help with ideas. We are incredibly thankful to them! Especially when our cocktail hour had to be moved inside because of a thunderstorm - it felt like it was planned all along. Gainesville is very fortunate for this building to be restored and brought back to life. It is truly a wonderful setting with beautiful people - we had the wedding of our dreams!
I attended a formal Gala at the 1908 Grand in December. It is an absolutely gorgeous venue. The different areas to entertain were carefully thought out and no detail was overlooked...
. I loved the elegance and the pictures from the event were beautiful.
This past New Year's Eve, I went to a wedding held here and all I have to say is WOW. 1908 Grand is unlike any venue I have seen in the Gainesville area. The interior of the venue ...
is beautiful and I love that it's a restored historical building. You can tell that not a single detail went unnoticed when designing the space! The staff was very nice and so helpful to me and all the guests!
